And she is totally and utterly right.

And I think it's probably because she's been on the end of some fairly negative trolling, because that's what happens if you put your head up and try and be an influencer or have a public voice.

I think she's learned that actually...

The world has become very binary and we don't allow each other time to grow and develop.

And I loved hearing her newly acquired wisdom.

And I think she's going to become an even stronger advocate for the blind community in years to come because she's learned that lesson, maybe the hard way, but certainly in a mature way.

Well, yeah, I mean, it's funny.

I interviewed David Solloy in 2016 when he was shortlisted for the book for his collection of nine intertwined short stories, All That Man Is.

I mean, he's a fairly serious heavyweight author, actually.

It's interesting hearing him say that he wants to put a bit more comedy into his books.

I think when he does it, he does it very, very well.

I have to confess I have flesh sitting on my iPod waiting to be read over Christmas.

I'm wondering how the long gaps, the blank pages in the paperback copy...

are going to be reflected in audio.

Because as we know, listening to three, four minutes of audio can seem like an eternity when there's nothing there.

You know, silence lasts a long, long time in an audio book.

Well, yeah, exactly.

Do you have a bit of background sound as well?

You know, the sound of buses and police cars going past?
