The pagan outlaws are the equivalent of the hell's angels. They are felons of the most dangerous sort.
So they show up at Kaufman's clinic just to look at his records.
What does he do instead of ushering them in as most of us would with the feds? No. He grabs a 9 millimeter Ruger.
After the standoff with Jim Kaufman, he goes to jail, not for murder, but for weapons charges. He fights to try to get out. The judge would not let him out based on his conduct, and that gives the new prosecutor, Tyner, a chance to really dig into the murder case.

Even in that jail cell, when he killed himself, he had to write this very lengthy suicide note to be in control at the very end, to get the last word. Kaufman adamant that he didn't kill April.
Throughout the note, he quotes Latin, including phrases that Roman gladiators would say to the emperor before they fought in the Colosseum.
Police are searching for a couple from Essex and they're calling their disappearance suspicious. Bill and Lorraine Currier were last seen around 5 o'clock last night.
A family member called police Thursday morning after discovering that neither Bill or Lorraine showed up for work, telling police this was out of character for the couple.
The Currier's green Saturn sedan is also gone. Police say the Essex couple disappeared from their home sometime between 5 o'clock Wednesday evening and 10 Thursday morning.
The couple's car turned up abandoned at an apartment complex a few miles from their home.
It's been nearly two months since an Essex couple mysteriously vanished from their home.
Now, while police say that the disappearance is suspicious and they do suspect foul play, investigators have not gotten the big break that they need.
No one could imagine who would have shot April Kaufman. Beautiful, blonde, glamorous, and she was fun. No one had any idea what was going on behind those closed doors.
April dropped out of school when she became pregnant, but she got her GED. She clawed her way back. She opened a salon, a catering business, a cafe, a charity worker.
For April Kauffman, no one could believe what had happened.

He worked at CVS. He lived right there. He was hiding in plain sight.
I think what they were banking on was a call from a family member to say, that's my dad, that's my brother, that's my uncle. I know how he walks. I know how he sounds.
He came up early because apparently he was catfishing a lot of girls in the area by going under the name Anthony Schatz.
Exactly. With other young girls and using, you know what catfishing is, using a picture that's clearly not him. This was a young guy, a model, who then became a cop, who was interviewed years later after the girls were murdered and said,
And the day of the funeral, Tara, Libby's aunt, went into CVS to blow up pictures of Libby for the day of the funeral and is crying, gives it to Richard Allen. He said, it's on me. I got this.
Then you get to Abby. She was dressed in Libby's clothes, Libby's jeans, Libby's zip-up jacket, Abby's shirt, her same shirt, Libby's bra, her bra, dressed, redressed, Libby no clothes. She remained in a position with her sweatshirt like this, which was Libby's sweatshirt.
Richard Allen then says, I think maybe I've lost my mind. And his wife Kathy says, are you sure you want to talk over the phone? Richard says, I need you to know I did this. And this was in a whisper. And Kathy says, no, you haven't, you're unwell.
Everyone, of course, in the court was leaning forward to try to hear every single word of that. And those confessions are something that I believe, if I was on the jury, I would take those into consideration because of the way he sounded.
The defense has an argument there saying he shouldn't have been there. He wasn't in sound mind. He was in solitary for 30 days is the rule there. But for him, it was more than a year.
I believe, depending on who you ask, those gun enthusiasts who I've spoken to say it absolutely is like a fingerprint. That's the key piece of information. Other people I talk to say, hmm, Junk science. I don't know if you could really connect that unspent bullet with the markings to that particular gun. But that was a pivotal moment.
Everyone and anyone. Mainstream media is trying to get in. YouTubers are trying to get in. Locals are trying to get in.
I believe Richard Allen, who says he's guilty. I believe that he was laying in wait. I believe he followed the girls on the bridge. I believe he led them down the hill. I believe his intent was to rape. I believe he was interrupted. I believe he forced them across the creek. I believe he slit their throats and murdered them.
And I believe, as he said, he went on to live his life, his everyday life. I truly feel the evidence points to Richard Allen, but we'll see what the jury decides.
We have his face, his voice, his image, the way he walks, what he sounds like.
Everybody became a suspect. I mean, everybody.
He worked at CVS. He lived right there. He was hiding in plain sight. So my first thoughts are, how'd you miss this guy?
They go down the hill. He forces them. And according to the investigators, he killed them within minutes. 20 minutes. And according to a blood expert, Abby was forced to put on Libby's clothes before she was murdered. So Libby's naked. But what happened between the guy on the bridge on Libby's phone saying, guys down the hill, they go down the hill? What interrupted him?
We have his face, the way he walks, what he sounds like, and still no one's in custody.
This town is so small. Right. Less than 3,000 people. When you really see it and understand how small that really is, how really everyone knows everyone, they weren't used to such a massive undertaking and such a big case, if you will, to be here in Delphi.
Oh, it was, oh my gosh, we have this evidence. The superintendent, Doug Carter, said, never in my life, Susan, have I had this much evidence. We have his face, his voice, his image, the way he walks, what he sounds like, and still no one's in custody. Did that feel crazy? It did. It did. To everyone thinking, why can't they get this guy?

Federal investigators raiding two homes owned by hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs.
One of Gary Triano's friends from high school met with Gary Triano the day before he died. Gary was trying to get him and his father to give him a $50,000 loan. His friend described him as anxious and desperate. That loan never happened and tomorrow never came.
There were a lot of rumors going around about threats that Gary may have received. A lot of the early focus was on people that invested, then Gary lost the money.
Neil McNeese was, by all accounts, a billionaire by inheritance. He was sort of a trust fund baby, if I could use that term, and he had a lot of money. His own Learjet, I think it was, traveled a lot.
He became acquainted with Gary Triano. They probably frequented the same clubs or things of that nature. And Neil McNeese was somebody who had a lot of money to invest or spend on people.
So Gary Triano gave Neal McNeese Pam Phillips's supposed diamond ring that Gary represented was worth a quarter million dollars.
Ron Young was someone who was, even for the mid-90s, fairly adept at computers and establishing an online presence even back then.
La Paloma Country Club is nestled in the Tucson foothills. It's absolutely beautiful.
What happened was that police in California find an abandoned van, and it's a rental van out of Aspen.
There's divorce documents between Gary Triano and Pam Phillips. There are maps of Tucson. There are lists of names of associates with Gary Triano.
Morning, everybody. So today we got a recreation shot of a 1996 bombing in Arizona. It's going to be a pipe bomb. Once the bomb goes off, we're going to wait until for Merkel to give it the all clear. It's the desert. It's hot. So, you know, drink plenty of water. We got snakes. We got scorpions. We got spiders. So watch out for all that.
It was something that absolutely shook Tucson to its core. It was horrific. It was violent.
So it took until January of 1997 before the insurance company paid. Pam got a little over $2 million.
Sure enough, Ron Young shows up in time for his appointment.
So there's all this stuff that's coming together. There's the suspicions about the life insurance policy. Now we've got Ron Young, who's an associate of Pam Phillips, and all these things in the van in California. The names and a notepad of people associated with Gary Triano. Maps of Tucson. Receipts from a hotel in Tucson near where Gary was living at the time.
The trial began February 2014. There was a ton of attention and anticipation. All eyes were on Pamela Phillips.
Prosecutors argued that the main reason that Pamela Phillips orchestrated this murder on her ex-husband was the $2 million life insurance policy.
The bulk of our evidence came from Ron Young. The FedEx receipts, the phone calls, the emails that Ron Young had saved.
Pamela Phillips was very elegant. She played the part of a socialite. She always looked very put together.
The last line has your name on it again, correct? Yes. Melissa Triano. Just above your name, what does it say there?
Oh yeah, that for the jury was our smoking gun.
Lawrence D'Antonio was called to the stand, and this was really the crutch of the defense's argument.
It makes for an interesting story. They're saying, oh, look at this, Neil McNeese was the real killer and Capuano was the person who made the bomb. All of them are deceased, so we're not able to follow up on this.
But I mean, the bottom line is we don't have any question whatsoever that Pam Phillips hired Ron Young to kill Gary.
Pamela Phillips never testified during the entire trial. We got glimpses of her personality, right? During the trial, she would look at the camera, she would smile at the camera, even mouthing the words at one point, I love you, to the camera during court proceedings.
Quiet cries of joy and justice. Triana's family says today's verdict has been a long time coming.
Gary's family was relieved by all this. The murder was in 1996. Our trial was now 18 years later. I mean, I don't think they wanted it to be Pam, but they knew it was.
Pamela Phillips was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Okay? This is hard. It's so hard for me. It's a nightmare. She showed no remorse. She actually turned around to the gallery for the first time. At this point, she was just pandering to the camera.
Never any mention as to the loss of life, but everything came back to the impact it had on her personally.
Pam and Gary knew Donald Trump, Marla Maples. Donald and Marla came to a University of Arizona basketball game with Gary and Pam.
Investigators set their sights on Gary Triano's financial dealings because he owed large sums of money to a lot of people.
There were any number of suspects that the Sheriff's Department was looking at. There were Chinese investors, there were Mexican investors, there were mafia investors, all of whom Gary purportedly owed money to.
Pam had sort of had enough. She had married this man who was worth millions, and now he wasn't.
Eleven of the survivors now face murder and conspiracy charges in connection with the killing of four federal agents.
The Hewitt preacher's wife was found dead. Her death originally ruled a suicide. But is that how the mother of two really died?

Gabby Petito. Search for a missing woman, Gabby Petito.
I've been covering the Gabby Petito case since day one. We do know that on August 27th, at Mary Piglet's restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming, witnesses reported a lot of screaming, him yelling at the restaurant staff, going in and out of the restaurant.
And then people saw them get into this van and leave.
Lights, cameras, reporters. We are everywhere.
The neighbors saw the van in the driveway. One of the neighbors told me, I did think it was strange that I didn't see Gabby. But what do I know? I'm just a neighbor here. The Laundrie family is going about their business.

We actually livestreamed it on our website for our viewers to watch because there was such a community interest in this story.
So after doing an autopsy, police learned that a tourist judge revolver possibly had been used to shoot and kill Robbie Doerr, which just so happens to be the same style of gun that was stolen from a pawn shop in Evansville.
Every step was shocking. And just when you thought you heard the most shocking part.
New developments tonight in the murder of a firefighter in Indiana, gunned down in front of his home.
One person was shot and killed here tonight, and police still looking for a suspect. We have a beloved first responder, a firefighter who is dead.
Larry Richmond's senior son, Larry Richmond Jr., worked at River City Pawn Shop in Evansville. He's accused of stealing a Taurus Judge revolver, which, ironically, is the same style gun police said was used to kill Robby Doar.
Becky was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice, but she pleaded not guilty to those charges. So many are wondering, who committed the murder?
Tonight, a beloved firefighter gunned down in his very own driveway.
So while Becky is being questioned by investigators at the police station, her son Nathan makes a discovery at the home.
One person was shot and killed here tonight, and police still looking for a suspect. Normally, the media will stage in a certain area. Police officers will chat with us, will tell us a little bit about what's going on. That didn't happen that night, so I knew that this was a big deal. Police say that just after 7 o'clock tonight, they had several calls come in reporting shots fired.
But does the evidence to convict someone all come down to a single deleted phone call? A brand new 2020 begins right now.
They do know who the victim is, but they are not releasing his name just yet. We were just hearing that night that it was a firefighter, and by the amount of firefighters showing up to the scene kind of confirmed to us this is a first responder.
We thought here police were onto something, had made an arrest, and then suddenly they're letting her go. What do they know they're not telling us?
At this point, police do not have a suspect. They do not have a murder weapon. And we're wondering, what is the next step?
Becky's son, Nathan, meets with detectives again, and he tells them that she already has a new man in her life.
had a relationship with the Doerr family at the time Robert was executed. Richmond came on our radar back in March of last year after police say that some guns were found buried outside of his home in his backyard. Now, as we've reported, Richmond was convicted of murder more than 20 years ago.
Investigators are finally able to get inside of Larry Richmond Sr. 's phone to see what's inside of it. And what they said they find is pretty interesting.
Larry Richmond Sr. and Becky were charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. They pled not guilty to all the charges.
The public, these are details that they have wanted to know for years are finally coming to light because there are cameras in the courtroom. Did it make it much harder that this was all televised?
So we're now at Becky's trial, but because she is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, the jury is hearing a lot about Larry Richmond Sr., who has his own separate trial scheduled for next year.
A handwriting expert for the prosecution claims that the handwriting on the condolence card matches that of the handwriting on the ramen packet addressed to Barbie.
Correct. One big bombshell in this case, Becky's son is about to take the stand.
Objection. Overruled. Could he be the one to actually send her to prison?
unfortunately. Something Nathan said to the jury had many wondering, could money be a motive for Robbie's murder?
90 years in prison. So basically, she will be spending the rest of her life behind bars. And the sentence?

The first step is trying to figure out what happened and the main players involved. The people who live on that street were telling me, I can't believe this happened here. Yes, we do have crime in Evansville, but nothing like this.
The big mistake that the perpetrator made is by using a weapon that is easily identifiable.
Inside of the home, investigators found a nine-page letter
Police have DNA, fingerprints, and a lot of physical evidence. What they don't have is the person who murdered a 19-year-old Three Rivers woman in 1988.

It looks like Miriam might be the next target. The killer was now after her.
It looks like Miriam might be the next target. The real killer was now after her.
That video really did undermine Miriam's credibility.
A lot of media attention? Yes. This was a big deal in that town, I guess.
For the shooter, the morning starts at 530 in the morning when he leaves the hostel on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at 104th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
leapfrogging over one camera, over another, over another. They were able to track this guy to this youth hostel on 103rd and Amsterdam. So at the youth hostel, they find this amazing piece of video. As he's checking into the youth hostel, the lady behind the counter asks him to drop his mask to see his face, to see his smile, and he obliges. And that was the picture that went viral.
The city was about to come alive for the day. It was a routine Wednesday. It was a clear morning. It was cold out. And you see this shooter walking up 54th Street wearing a hood that was up. He had a mask on in the vicinity of the Hilton on 54th Street.
On social media, there was this eruption of cheer about it because people are so angry at the healthcare industry.
This police officer shows up. He said, have you been to New York recently? And police say he started to shake. He started to get visibly nervous. And that's when the police took him into custody.
They find the computer. They find the passport. They find a 3D-printed silencer and a 3D-printed gun. So this was what the police referred to as a ghost gun, which means basically it has no serial number. They also found a spiral-bound notebook that Mr. Mangione allegedly wrote talking about computer-aided design, or CAD.
He has a bachelor's and a master's in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and the implication is that he designed, printed, put this gun together, and then used it to commit the crime.
He went to the University of Pennsylvania, the engineering school where he majored in computer science.
So it's about an hour of the shooter making his way around this small slice of midtown Manhattan. He goes to a Starbucks and gets a snack and a bottle of water. He walks west a block. He then walks east a block. He's clearly passing time as he waits for Brian Thompson to make his appearance.
He really just stopped communicating with people. And then two weeks before the shooting, his own mother filed a missing persons report referring to him in San Francisco.
The main tragedy here is the death of Brian Thompson, the loss that his family has to endure. But there's also a tragedy here about Luigi Mangione, who had such a brilliant life ahead of him. And something happened to spiral him into this dark place where he allegedly executed someone. Why?
Luigi Mangione arrives in court, and all anyone's actually seen of him up till now is the smiling surveillance image. His social media is out there with his shirt off, and he's a happy kid with an ear-to-ear grin. That's all anyone's ever seen of him until he arrives at court.
And police say that he kind of ruminated on ways in which to carry out this attack on the healthcare industry. He considered a bomb, but then decided that he didn't want to kill innocents, and so he wanted instead to target an individual.
At 6.44 in the morning, you see Mr. Thompson walking down the block from his hotel to the Hilton.
There are cameras everywhere. There are people everywhere. Even at 6, 7 in the morning, there are people.
New York is a connected city. We know that there are cameras. We know there are thousands, tens, maybe even hundreds of thousands of cameras all around New York City.
The first video that we get, which is the most sensational of the videos, is of the actual shooting.
I think what was most jarring about the shooting was how calm the shooter seemed to be. He seemed to be methodical.
The police determined that the victim is the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson. He's a 50-year-old husband, father of two.
People were cheering the demise of this person they'd never met, who was a father of two and a husband and had a life and was just doing a job, no matter how distasteful that job might be to a certain segment of the population.
It's very unusual for someone to be shot in that neighborhood at any time of day.
After the shooting, we know that the shooter runs across 54th Street. We know he goes up this alleyway called the Ziegfeld Alley right by the Ziegfeld Theater, which is a real landmark in midtown Manhattan. And then he gets on a bike at this point, and he rides up Sixth Avenue up to Central Park.
The cameras lose sight of him because he goes into the park. And one big blind spot in the city, you talk about cameras everywhere, there really aren't cameras in Central Park. There are trees, there are heavily wooded areas.
There's this amazing shot, and he peers through the partition that separates the driver from the passenger.
We know that he takes the cab up to a bus station, which is on the New York City side of the George Washington Bridge.
So immediately, police announced a reward of $10,000 for anyone who would provide information that could lead to his arrest and conviction. And, you know, the Crimestoppers line in New York did start to get a lot of calls. But the real question is, where did he go?
I think we all learned that it's a lot easier to disappear in New York than we thought.
He was guilty of, quote, unethical and potentially illegal conduct. Joe Gow under fire for hiring a porn star to give a speech. It seemed to be really well received by students, not as well received by system officials.
We grabbed it, headed for the airport, and flew over here.

Hannah, what does it mean to be working with Blake again?
Well, in fact, Secretary Rubio reserves the right to revoke the visa of Mahmoud Khalil, and I'm glad you brought this up. Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Secretary of State has the right to revoke a green card or a visa for individuals who serve or are adversarial to the foreign policy and national security interests of the United States of America.
And Mahmoud Khalil was an individual who was given the privilege of coming to this country to study at one of our nation's finest universities and colleges. And he took advantage of that opportunity, of that privilege, by siding with terrorists Hamas terrorists who have killed innocent men, women, and children.
This is an individual who organized group protests that not only disrupted college campus classes and harassed Jewish American students and made them feel unsafe on their own college campus, but also distributed pro-Hamas propaganda Flyers with the logo of Hamas. That is what the behavior and activity that this individual engaged in. And I have those flyers on my desk.
They were provided to me by the Department of Homeland Security. I thought about bringing them into this briefing room to share with all of you, but I didn't think it was worth the dignity of this room to bring that pro-Hamas propaganda. But that's what this individual distributed on the campus of Columbia University.
And this administration is not going to tolerate individuals having the privilege of studying in our country and then siding with pro-terrorist organizations that have killed Americans. We have a zero tolerance policy for siding with terrorists, period.
Attorney General Bondi said a truckload of FC files had been delivered to her office from the SDNY. When can we expect those files to be released to the public? I would defer you to the Department of Justice. I don't have a timeline here. Do you have any update on the JFK files? I don't at this moment. Again, I would defer you to our DNI director, Tulsi Gabbard, and also the Department of Justice.
I know that they are working on that diligently, as the President requested them to do.

A federal judge has ruled that the White House's ban on the AP from Oval Office events is unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden ruled yesterday that the White House violated the First Amendment by discriminating based on a viewpoint. The dispute is over the AP's refusal to use the term Gulf of America instead of the now officially defunct Gulf of Mexico.
McFadden, who is a Trump appointee, wrote that the administration offered no other plausible explanation for how it treated the AP and that the Constitution forbids viewpoint discrimination even in a non-public forum like the Oval Office.

The three and a half year nightmare for the Fogle family that started during the Biden administration has finally ended. After watching the previous administration prioritize more famous detainees like Brittany Griner, the Fogle family clung to hope that he would be released. The Lake and Riley Act that passed the Senate last night could be one of the first bills to land on President Trump's desk. It still needs final approval in the House. The bill allows states to sue the government for failing to enforce immigration laws.
Throughout the hearing, Democrats routinely criticized Hegseth's previous comments regarding women serving in the military, particularly in combat roles. Here's Senator Elizabeth Warren in one heated back and forth.
Standards are what it's always been about, Senator. Warren also noted that Hegseth had in the past supported banning retired military generals from lobbying and then asked him to make the same pledge for himself, to which he replied, I'm not a general, Senator. Following Warren, Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville jokingly addressed the nominee as General Hegseth.

I'm standing at the location where an illegal criminal lit a woman on fire. He lit her on fire as she was sleeping on a subway car and then sat down on this bench and watched her burn alive. Listen, it's the most grave act that a human being can commit against another person. And with the leadership of President Trump, we're going to make sure it never happens again.

Make America Healthy Again champion RFK Jr. was grilled on Capitol Hill this week as part of his confirmation process to become Health and Human Services Secretary. Despite fierce opposition from some senators, parents and health advocates on both sides of the aisle have lined up to support him.
Yeah, Georgia. I mean, obviously, this was a very emotional atmosphere. It was a reverent atmosphere, one of profound emotion. There were an estimated 250,000 people filling the square and surrounding streets and millions more watching at home worldwide to pay their respects to Francis. The funeral was held at 10 a.m.
local time in Rome, and it was very much a blend of tradition and the simplicity that Francis was so well-known for championing. Just a bit about him. During his papacy, he chose to live in a simple guest house rather than in the papal palace. He also chose to live without internet and was famous for reading only one Italian newspaper a day.
And he vowed to give up television 30 years ago and kept that vow until his death. And that simplicity very much guided his final wishes. His open wooden coffin was a departure from the traditional triple casket. It lay at ground level in St. Peter's Basilica because... Pope Francis wanted to be at ground level to show that he was with the people and not above them.
And he also chose to be buried in his old black shoes rather than in the traditional, more elegant red shoes. Saturday's mass was led by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Ray, whose homily called Francis a pope among the people, really highlighting his warmth. He was the first pope from Latin America. He was also the first Jesuit pope.
And after the service, his coffin was carried in a modest procession to the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, where Francis was laid to rest. And that was also a departure from tradition, but it fulfilled his personal wish to be buried at a site that he held personally very dear.
Yes, as Cabot alluded to, this was a significant diplomatic gathering as well with some 170 foreign dignitaries gathered. It included dozens of heads of state, just a few, of course, President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump. Ukrainian President Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron was there, Argentine President Javier Millay representing Francis's native country.
And then arriving in Rome, this was what Vice President J.D. Vance, himself, of course, a Catholic, had to say to C-SPAN when they asked about his being one of the very last people to meet with the Pope.
And then another notable moment here, Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder, was also among the mourners. He attended with his family to thank Francis for supporting him during his imprisonment.
Yeah, very much. His nickname was the Great Reformer, and we do have to note that those reforms did tend to lean towards the progressive side. So we're going to see if the College of Cardinals selects a new pope who continues to follow in Francis's footsteps. Now, about that process, how does that work?
Well, the conclave, of course, is a centuries-old tradition, and it takes place inside that sacred Sistine Chapel. It typically begins about 15 to 20 days after the death of the previous pope. So we're expecting it to start to take place somewhere between May 5th, May 11th. Only cardinals under the age of 80 can vote. So this time, there are going to be about 135 eligible cardinals.
And their first meeting, again, we'll see it in early May. And they will be under a strict oath of secrecy. These cardinal electors are sworn not to discuss anything that happens in that room. They are not to communicate with the outside world. No news media, no... computers, nothing online.
So when they've reached that two-thirds majority, indicating that they have selected a new pope, we will know by the white smoke coming out of the Sistine Chapel.
Of course, my pleasure.
Carney cites what he calls an unprecedented crisis sparked by President Trump's tariffs and threats to Canadian sovereignty. The former central banker and political newcomer claimed Trump is trying to break Canada and warned against forgetting the betrayal. Here's Carney.
The election, which will likely take place on April 28th, sets up a fierce contest between Carney's centrist liberals and conservative leader Pierre Palliev. Recent polls show the race is now neck and neck after the liberal party gained some ground. Palliev today took aim at Trump's tariff policies and the liberals he says handed over control to Trump.
According to CBS, the CDC is planning to bring back Title 42. That's the order from Trump's first term that classified illegal migrants as public health risks over diseases such as tuberculosis. Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump vowed to push for a complete overhaul, saying the U.S. has spent billions trying to fix a broken system instead of replacing it.
Federal officials have long warned about air traffic controller shortages and aging technology. Now, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Elon Musk say a government task force will work to rapidly upgrade aviation safety.
There is a massive discrepancy in Chinese and American data on the importation of e-cigarettes and vapes. More than 90% of all Chinese vapes and e-cigarettes the Chinese Communist Party recorded sending to the United States do not appear in American import data.
Experts say that the huge discrepancy is due to widespread intentional mislabeling by Chinese companies to dodge duties, tariffs, and FDA regulations. The Daily Wire revealed that one Chinese freightliner that specializes in importing vapes even bragged about facing a, quote, low inspection rate. Another company offers compensation to vape manufacturers if their product is seized by customs.

Mr. President, who reports that you're considering doing something for moms across the country, giving them some kind of bonus? Sounds like a good idea to me.
Axel Rudacabana pleaded guilty to murdering three young girls and injuring 10 others, and was sentenced to at least 52 years in prison. The attack, which took place in Southport, England, was described by the judge as extreme violence of the utmost seriousness, leaving the community devastated.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who initially tried to silence protests over the stabbings, has finally admitted his government failed the families, saying there are grave questions to answer as to how the state failed in its ultimate duty to protect these young girls. Families of the victims called the sentencing a small measure of justice for the horrific loss.
Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will all align in a breathtaking parade that will be visible throughout the month of January. NASA says that the planets will be visible to the naked eye and they can be best viewed 90 minutes after sunset.

He should not be out because he killed three people, and he was on death row. That's not right. It's not right for anybody who's on death row to be free.
When did he tell you that?
All right, thank you very much, Tracy. I'm standing just outside the Luby's Cafeteria, the scene of today's mass killing. It has been an incredible day for Central Texas, and the incredible story is still unfolding as we talk now. Even at this hour, the Central Texas town of about 50,000 residents is still trying to grapple with the events, the cause, the aftermath of this mass killing.
Tonight, the grim process of removing the bodies from the restaurant began around 8 o'clock, about two hours ago. The bodies are being transported to Dallas for autopsies by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. Now, for Bell County authorities, this is routine in murder cases. What's not routine, of course, is that the number of victims is very high.
The horror began during the lunch hour today at 1240. Suddenly, with no warning, a blue pickup truck came crashing through the big glass window of the restaurant's dining room. It was no accident. The driver meant to crash into the dining room and he kept on accelerating, running over several tables and the people who were sitting at them.
The truck finally came to rest completely inside the dining room. When the truck stopped, witnesses say the man started shooting before getting out. He then walked over and shot two people he had just run over.
Something obviously snapped today in the brain of a 35-year-old Belton resident, Belton being about seven or eight miles from here. 35-year-old George Henard, no prison record, but unemployed and apparently a very angry man. He was the subject of numerous complaints to the Belton Police Department from neighbors who complained the man was screaming and seemed to be mentally deranged.
He was an angry man who let that anger spill over today at a crowded cafeteria dining room here on Highway 190.
As Murray was telling us, some of his neighbors had also complained to police, saying the man would be screaming out loud in the middle of the night, waking them up. He lived in a fairly well-to-do neighborhood, but many of the neighbors called police and said something is wrong with the man. He continues to yell and scream. He's talking to himself.
So he does have a record of some mental aberrations.
Okay.
Doug and Shelley, it's unsurprisingly a very emotional scene here at Arroyo Villa's apartment complex. People, as you said, placing flowers and stuffed animals, saying prayers. There have been a lot of tears today as New Mexico mourns.

She would often run around her grandparents lawn and do her gymnastics. More than 600 people came to celebrate Victoria's life at the public memorial service. Those who knew her. She was just an amazing girl and I'm so so blessed and happy that we got to meet her and got to know her. And those who wished they did.
The horrific details of that little girl's death shocked the nation. Victoria was murdered in August. Police say by her mother, her mother's boyfriend, and his cousin. Governor Martinez, Attorney General Hector Balderas, and APD Chief Gordon Eden all speaking at the service today, saying the state must learn from what happened to her.
Many people wore purple to the ceremony, which was Victoria's favorite color. Purple teddy bears were also handed out to the children that came. Parents say today was a somber reminder. Hold our kids closer every day. And as the doves released after the service flew high into the sky, her loved ones say they're sure Victoria's in a better place. She was one of God's borrowed angels.
Soyoung Kim, KRQE News 13.
7 has uncovered new information about this case, new information that is extremely disturbing. This afternoon, her autopsy was released, detailing how the 10-year-old was murdered, her own mother, one of the suspects in Victoria's rape and death.
Our medical expert, Dr. Amo, reviewed the autopsy and says he has never seen one like it. We do want to warn you again, what Target 7's Nancy Laughlin found is upsetting.
Welcome back today marks 10 years since the disappearance of eight year old Relisha Rudd. Tonight, community members gathered to pass out flyers highlighting the unsolved case. And in an interview you'll see only on Fox 5, our Jacqueline Matters spoke exclusively with her stepfather on this 10 year anniversary. Jacqueline.
Yeah, guys, we had protesters out here. They were on the curb over here. They went all the way around the building chanting. They went back to the stairs right behind me here, just feet away from the entrance, protesting for justice for Vanessa Guillen. While most of Guillen's family were inside during the hearing, the family
Sister Lupe Guillen was outside, leading about a dozen protesters in front of the federal courthouse in Waco. They chanted, they marched, they demanded justice, and they weren't just from Central Texas. We had protesters out here that were from San Antonio, Arlington, and even Kansas. Vanessa Guillen's story has gone so far and wide, one woman even decided to drive nine hours to be here.
The trial of Cecily Aguilar may have not started yet, but the protesters wanted to let everyone in the courthouse know they believe they know where it should end.
South Korean auto giant Hyundai will announce a $20 billion investment in the United States when its chairman visits the White House today. Sources say that that pledge includes $5 billion set for a steel plant in Louisiana with plans to hire 1,500 employees and produce next-generation steel for Hyundai and Kia cars.
That move comes after similar investment commitments from SoftBank and chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor earlier this year.
First up this morning, a brand new exclusive CNN poll that paints a brutal reality for Democrats as they struggle to mount a unified opposition to President Trump. Americans' favorable views of the Democratic Party's brand are at a record low, just 29%. That's compared to 36% for Republicans. It is the lowest ever recorded for Democrats in CNN polling, going back more than 30 years.
As you can see, the party's number is dropping a staggering 20 points in just four years. The CNN SRSR's poll also found 57% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters are more interested in seeing their party leaders stop the GOP agenda compared to 42% who are more interested in cutting bipartisan.
Send them before the show next time. Nice.
No, I am with you.
You're so dumb.
Mr. Hammond and Secretary Noem, can we ask you a few questions here, please? Would you guys gaggle with reporters for a few moments? You are both the top immigration advisors to President Trump, in addition to Stephen Miller. He just announced that he's signing an executive order to put 30,000 detention beds at Guantanamo Bay.
I know, Mr. Homan, you've talked about needing more beds, but how exactly would that work and when do you expect it to open?
care shooting, the shooting of the CEO. Can you give us your thoughts about that? And what do you make of the reaction around the suspected shooter? Does that tell you anything about how people think about health care?
It was a male and a female. They were accosted by approximately 13 to 15 armed individuals. They were pistol whipped. They were beat. They were mistreated. One of the male was actually stabbed. He had a stab wound. So does that fall in the category of torture for me? Yeah, it does. There is a high assumption that they may be affiliated or affiliated with the TDA gang.
I had a discussion with an individual from the White House, and that occurred back on September the 23rd, I believe. And that person basically told me that, hey, once these immigrants get across the border, that's all we really care about. And to me, that's a problem.
Finally, we have some good news on the economy and really the number one issue for many Americans, the cost of living. So we just learned that consumer prices in February increased by 2.8 percent year over year, 0.2 percent month over month. Both of these figures were a step in the right direction and both were. were better than expected.
So this is definitely very encouraging to see because it's going to, I think, relieve some fears that inflation was perhaps re-accelerating because this actually breaks a streak of four straight months where I think you could see it on the chart all the way to the right where the inflation rate was going in the wrong direction, right? It was going higher and higher. Finally, we're seeing it dip.
Finally.
Signal chat with his wife on it where he's discussing that attack in Yemen. There's another signal chat discussing the attack on Yemen. There's a reporter accidentally involved. You said the other day that you had a talk. with the secretary. Did you take him to the woodshed?
It's right here. You are a one-on-one? My son's right there. I don't think I've ever said this before.
People are worried, even some people who voted for you, saying... I didn't sign up for this. So how do you answer those concerns?
Do you think the reputation of the United States? has gone down under your presidency.
Go ahead. 145% tariffs on China. And that is basically an embargo. They deserve it.
California Senate Bill 560 would decriminalize, you're right, welfare fraud below an amount of $25,000. It would also delete a provision for criminal penalties for any attempt at welfare fraud below $950. The legislation not only...
uh prevents prosecutions for attempted welfare fraud it also stops someone from being charged with perjury if they are subject to prosecution for welfare fraud the bill also by the way stops counties from pursuing criminal action for overpayment if they did not provide timely notice to the recipient California.
Critics of the bill say people who cheat the system should be held accountable, not protected. Now there's a concept. The next hearing on this bill, hopefully it's not going to go anywhere.
News out of the state capitol. Governor Gavin Newsom is getting involved in the latest fight over child sex trafficking. Thanks for joining us at 4. I'm Lisa Gonzalez.
And I'm Curtis Mayer. The governor's office is speaking up after lawmakers today blocked an effort to crack down on the buyers of the child sex trafficking industry, specifically those who buy 16 and 17-year-olds for sex. Let's get to KCRA 3 Capitol correspondent Ashley Zavala, who was first to report the governor's involvement.
Curtis, this is now the third time the governor's office has gotten involved in this kind of fight between Democrats over this issue. The governor signaling his support for that proposal to make it an automatic felony to purchase a 16 year old or 17 year old for sex. In a statement exclusively to us this afternoon, really just within the last hour, the governor's office said, quote,
the law should treat all sex predators who solicit minors the same as a felony, regardless of the intended victim's age, full stop. This comes after the Assembly Public Safety Committee this morning blocked this proposal from moving forward that targets the buyers of the child sex trafficking industry. It's written by Assemblymember...
A Democrat who has spent the last two decades working on this issue. Now, before getting elected to the Assembly, she was a prosecutor for the California Department of Justice. But Democratic leaders say they have concerns about possible unintended consequences with this, how the automatic felony for the purchase of the teens could impact the LGBTQ community, people of color, and older teens.
Here's what the chairman of the committee, Assemblyman Nick Schultz and Krell, had to say right after the hearing. are forced to stand. People keep asking that. Why can't Democrats immediately get on board with something like this?
Yeah, so I would emphasize two things. First of all, the exploitation of any children, as we heard in there in the comments I made in the dais, it's already unlawful to do anything like that in the state of California.
What we're talking about is a very specific, narrow issue of whether or not the stiff penalties that apply in, say, a human trafficking context should apply in a non-human trafficking context involving a 16- or 17-year-old. As you know, under Senate Bill 1414, which passed last year, that's a mandatory sex offender registration.
And that doesn't mean that we shouldn't at least entertain that conversation. But how that might apply to an 18 and 17-year-old in a relationship might be different from what we might see, from what we think about people that are out here trying to get somebody off the blade and exploit them. So I think that these are important conversations we have to have.
But the thing that we are working with Jay Bhattacharya, the new NIH director on with, as well as Secretary Kennedy, is looking at the gain of function research that in the case of the Wuhan lab, as well as many of these other bio labs around the world, was actually US funded and leads to this dangerous kind of research that in many examples
has resulted in either a pandemic or some other major health crisis.
Let me ask you specifically, because we already know that EcoHealth Alliance was partnering with this Wuhan lab to create, to do gain-of-function resets. We just have never been able to have somebody say, and it was that exact experiment that led to this COVID bug. But have we gotten there? What's the new thing that you're digging in on?
We are working on that with Jay Bhattacharya and look forward to being able to share that. She doesn't want to give the info. Hopefully very soon. Okay. That specific link. Correct. Between the gain of function research and what we saw with COVID-19.
I mean, that would be extraordinary because just so the audience knows, if that's true, if it was Peter Daszak's research with the Wuhan so-called bat lady that caused this pandemic, then we did fund it. Then Anthony Fauci helped fund the pandemic.
The thing that he denied over and over and over to Senator Rand Paul's questioning. That's right, under oath. Under oath, exactly. So is it any wonder that he sought a preemptive pardon for anything during a certain period of time by President Biden before he left office?
And then strong-armed and smeared people like Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.
Anybody who came out and said I don't know if that's natural this actually smacks of lab And and the reason why this is so important is not just what happened in the past It's because this gain-of-function research is happening in bio labs around the world I got attacked and I think you saw this we've probably talked about on your show before when I warned against US funded bio labs in Ukraine
when the Russia-Ukraine war kicked off for this very reason. Who knows what kinds of pathogens are in these labs and if release could create another COVID-like pandemic. And you hit the lab and you open it up and all the stuff goes out. And for that, I was called a Russian asset. You're, you know, trumpeting Putin's talking points. All of this nonsense.
simply for speaking the truth and stating facts that, by the way, are still on U.S. Embassy Ukraine's website today about how the U.S. has funded these bio labs in Ukraine. But in order to my point is in order to prevent another covid like pandemic or another major health incident that could affect us in the world.
We have to end this gain-of-function research and provide the evidence that shows exactly why and how it's in our best interest, the American people's best interest, to bring about an end to it. I love it.
Fraud is a crime. There have been no referrals to the Justice Department at any. Well, you don't know that, do you? How do you know that? Have there been referrals?
That there were no referrals? I think there were referrals. There's been no investigation from the Justice Department.
I'm asking you, sir. No, you're not asking me.
He had some tattoos that are interpreted that way, but let's move on.
He did not have the letter MS-13.
He did have tattoos that can be interpreted that way. I'm not an expert on them. I want to turn to Ukraine.
When he was photographed in El Salvador, they aren't there. But let's just go on.
He says he won't leave even if you ask him to.
I heard that there was a shotgun that never fired that they saw, so they had me looking in the bushes for a shotgun.
But what's the evidence that was brought up in deportation proceedings that he's an MS-13?
It seemed like you and Russ weren't on the same page on that interception against the Chiefs. How does that happen, and what do you guys do to address it?
Yeah, well, that's what he said.
Yeah.
That's what he said.
How do you just address that?
Yeah.
Okay.
Can you explain the rationale in having the U.S. vote against the U.N. resolution that Ukraine proposed and also the U.S. proposed?
All right.
Do you plan to ask President Bukele to help return the man who your administration says was mistakenly deported? The man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador?
Can President Bukele weigh in on this? Do you plan to return him?
Mr. President, you said that if the Supreme Court said someone needed to be returned, that you would abide by that. You said that on Air Force One just a few days ago. And they said that it must be facilitated.
But 90 days could be a rolling deadline, is what I hear you saying.
Mr. President, what do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you? Why not leave it behind?
Thank you, Ben. That's right. We are standing by live in Corpus Christi right across the street from the Days Inn where the shooting did occur earlier today.
For the record, and this is disgusting, the president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who thus far survived pediatric cancer, as if the president had something to do with that. This was in the midst of him praising Doge. The Doge cuts, among other things, have cut off funding for ongoing research into pediatric cancer.
Is that the only thing that you're protesting?
And you said that the president right now is with the trade and tariff team. They are very confident that this is all going to work. But what if they're wrong?
We are three weeks into the second Trump presidency, three weeks, and tonight there are warnings that the U.S. is dangerously close to a constitutional crisis.
Now, the first shoe on this dropped when a federal judge today said the White House is defying his order to unfreeze billions of dollars in federal aid, marking the first time that we've had a judge expressly accuse the Trump administration of ignoring a court ruling.
And in a separate case today, federal employees here in Washington told a judge that the administration was defying another order by not reinstating workers who had been put on leave. Now, this all has prominent Democrats and many of the nation's top constitutional scholars declaring that the U.S. is on the brink of a reckoning.
Senator Rand Paul today said that doge cuts will ultimately need a vote in Congress. Do you agree with that? Is that the plan?
On the tariffs, is there any room left for Canada and Mexico to make a deal before midnight? And should we expect those Chinese tariffs, the extra 10% to take?
So to back up, during the Biden administration, they received 170 911 calls to that club alone. That club we were just watching, 170 calls. Wouldn't you think that would have been a red flag? Nothing happened. Guns, shootings, ag batteries, nothing happened.
Mr. President, what do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you? Why not leave it behind?
Can you say definitively that no one will lose their jobs? No one will lose their job at all because of this signal situation.
Why aren't.
Shockingly, roughly $20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA. This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposefully designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight. EPA needs to reassume responsibility for all of these funds. We will review every penny that has gone out the door.
I'll be referring this matter to the inspector general's office and we'll work with the justice department as well.
Now, I find it ironic, of course, that our chairwoman, Congresswoman Greene, is in charge of running this committee. Now, in the last Congress, Chairwoman Greene literally showed a dick pic in our oversight congressional hearing. So I thought I'd bring one as well. Now, this, of course, we know is President Elon Musk. He's also the world's richest man.
He was the biggest political donor in the last election. He has billions of dollars in conflicts of interest.
Does Elon Musk have power of the presidency?
Absolutely not. That's a ridiculous question.
I ask that question because, you know, the Democrats have been hurling insults at Elon Musk, hurling attacks, calling him President Musk. Most recently, Jamie Raskin, the congressman, took it a step further, calling for Musk's impeachment, saying that he somehow usurped the power of the presidency. What's your response?
It's utterly ridiculous. Elon Musk addressed this in the Oval Office yesterday. The President addressed it as well. Elon Musk is serving at the pleasure of the President. Just like everybody else on this team, he takes directives directly from the President of the United States.
How soon do you want the Department of Education to be closed?
Does that mean you are not sending any more aid to Ukraine?
When would the U.S. stop sending funding?
Do you see any future in which Ukraine returns to its pre-2014 borders?
feel like the US is on your side, that President Trump is on your side at this moment?
Why don't you wear a suit? I will wear a costume after this war will finish.
The Baltics.
So I'm not hearing from you, Mr. President, a thought that you owe the president an apology.
Mr. President, is there anything China, Canada and Mexico can do tonight to forestall your implementation of tariffs tomorrow?
No, not a negotiating tool.
Is there a concession you're looking for, sir?
You said that you were going to cut aid from South Africa. Will you plan to cut aid across other African nations? And why South Africa?
The experience I had last night, however, changed the way I feel about this story completely. What I saw was more sophisticated than I ever imagined. Take a look. One, two, three, four, five, at least five lights, six lights. I didn't believe what I was seeing, but what was I seeing? We're here in Central Jersey. We've been looking for the past hour.
I think we've seen about 40 or 50 of these drones. In fact, there's one over my shoulder right there. One after another, after another, these drones appeared in the night sky. If you look real close, they look like fixed-wing aircraft, about 8 to 10 feet wide, colorful, white blinking lights. That is not a plane. Definitely not an airplane, but what was it?
Andrew and Tristan Tate landed in Florida today on a private jet after being released from custody in Romania. They are accused rapists, human traffickers, not thought of as good people in many circles. Did your administration pressure the Romanian government to release them? And if so, why?
He's back. They already picked him.
It sounds as though one of you completely trusts President Putin, and one of you doesn't trust him an inch. Have I got that right? And why do you trust him?
What concessions has Russia offered up thus far to get to the point where you're closer to peace?
I don't know how this is going to come out, but we've already been, but it's made me feel so queer. and I've always been afraid of feeling queer. Don't, this is you. I've always said lesbian, right? But I feel so queer. This is you. I'm queer. But that's like, I've never kind of... We're not living in a world that's designed for us, Jojo. I'm switching letters! You're a queer bit.
Elle, I'm going to the queue.
That's what I love about sexuality.
The queue, baby.
I've met a lot of females, love them, don't feel like I'm them. Met a lot of males, love them, definitely not them. Met a lot of people in my life that are non-binary. And these beautiful non-binary people are who I feel the most like. And it's, I don't know, it's not something that I want to say about myself yet, but it's something that is confusing.
I'm a reporter working on a story about one of your inmates. I called a few minutes ago and was transferred, and I got a voicemail, so I didn't leave a message, but maybe I should.
Members are giving themselves a pay raise. Do you guys deserve a pay raise?
You support giving yourselves the pay raise?
Well, I mean, you're taxpayer money. I mean, you guys deserve a raise.
Mayor Adams has his plate full, managing the day-to-day business of the city. How are you? Today, he's taking some time for some R&R. Angela performed a 10-minute laser hair removal procedure. Adam spoke with me exclusively during the process.
President Trump put out a truth social today saying that everybody in the cabinet was happy with you. I just wondered if you had heard otherwise, and if you had heard anything about members of the cabinet who weren't happy with the way things were going.
That creek that RFK Jr. is splashing around in isn't exactly pristine. In fact, it's a sewer runoff and is polluted with widespread fecal contamination. Swimming and wading are banned. But in this photo, RFK Jr. is totally submerged.
It was bracing to hear a speech delivered at times by a whisper. His use of voice modulation was rather extraordinary.
Boy, that was a dull, lifeless, boring speech. It's like he's a corpse. I mean, you can't, it's unwatchable. It was so boring. I just wanted to, you know, Werther's original watch and this thing would go to sleep.
Republican leader in the House, that would be Mr. McCarthy of California. This whole thing could have just been an email.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, very popular up-and-comer in the Republican Party. He's been sort of the rising star, de facto head of the Republican Party.
He's being talked about for a possible run at the White House.
Do you remember the guy's first name that she was kind of having trouble with?
The Trump administration making good on its threat to cancel $400 million in federal grants to Columbia University.
The federal funding freeze at the University of Pennsylvania. The Trump administration is pausing nearly $200 million in funds.
The Trump administration freezes $1 billion in funding for Cornell University and $790 million for Northwestern University. A Trump administration...
The Trump administration is threatening to withhold $9 billion in funding to Harvard, one of America's most prestigious universities.
Breaking news in our politics lead. Harvard University is now suing the Trump administration over the administration's threats to cut... What are sort of the main reasons that Harvard gives for suing?
President Donald Trump said he would impose additional, additional 10% tariffs on imports from the world's second largest economy.
— It's all under investigation. — I understand that. That's why I'm trying to figure out how you can come to the conclusion right now that diversity had something to do with this crash.
And what they told me essentially is that they're kind of leaving marijuana behind, that they're focusing on their legacy kinds of industries, growing those, supporting those, and that they just don't see recreational marijuana as a part of the economic picture for Pueblo.
Pueblo was a place that was on track to be what they said was the Napa Valley of cannabis. And then everything went wrong. When I showed up there, it was definitely not that. This was a place full of failed businesses. So what would you say happened to Pueblo?
I think there's a lot of lessons to be learned from a place like Pueblo that was first when it came to legalizing marijuana. You know, we have communities that are just starting now with this experiment. And so if we want that to go well, we really need to look to the communities that have been there and say, what could we do differently?
Exactly. It hasn't really worked out for Pueblo. Mm-hmm. Does that mean that it won't work out down the line for somewhere else? Not necessarily. This is really early days still for this industry. There's a lot of things that need to still be worked out, and I'm not sure we have the answers.
The message I got from people in the town, and this is on both sides, is there are people who are in the marijuana business and people who are against the marijuana business, is this is not what we signed up for. This is not working out the way that I was promised.
Pueblo did a really good job of convincing the rest of the country that they were the destination for weed.
Pueblo was a place full of hardworking blue collar workers who just couldn't catch a break. They had been this huge steel town. They were shedding those jobs for years. There was a local slaughterhouse that also closed up shop. And so they just kept trying to get back on their feet and were struggling. And this new industry sort of showed up
in America and said, you know, we can help you with that. And they were going to be among the first. And so it was a lot of excitement around that.
Leading up to the first day of marijuana sales, people literally, like, packed up everything they owned, got in their vehicles, and just drove to Colorado with no plans. This is people from all over the country? People from all over the country.
People are comparing it to, they're saying it's the new Amsterdam. One group that does have a cannabis business there told me, you know, that there was so much demand to get one of these licenses that people would like rush to the steps of the county building and try to get there first so that they would get the best spot, you know.
One of the places had like Girl Scouts selling cookies in the parking lot. There were food trucks. I mean, it really was like a huge, exciting moment for the city and the county.
I mean, that looks like a giant sort of like industrial warehouse-sized building. Yeah, exactly.
There's like a doorbell that goes off when you walk in. Daniel Swick was the manager there and he, you know, welcomed us in.
And then you sort of are let into this beautiful back room.
You've got lit glass shelves and a display board with sort of, you know, different levels of cannabis that you can buy.
Okay. Bottom shelf. Uh-huh. A1 steak sauce.
Things really started to kind of go downhill shortly after the pandemic around 2021. When you actually go and look up all the licensees, the marijuana licensees in that area, you can see that boom and bust. You know, there's a point at which you have just hundreds of businesses and then it starts to drop off dramatically. For one thing, competition was fierce.
The number of cannabis businesses that flooded into this city and the surrounding county were pretty outsized for the demand. You had a situation where it's a city that has like seven to ten Starbucks maybe. That's a pretty good indicator usually of, you know, how many of these businesses there should be. And they had, you know, more than 200 cannabis businesses at one point. Wow.
And so inevitably, you know, some of those folks didn't have enough demand and they were going to fail.
Colorado levies a 15% marijuana sales tax and a 15% excise tax on marijuana. And then Pueblo County tax on another 5% excise tax and a 6% sales tax. And then if you have a cannabis business that's in the city of Pueblo, you're going to pay an additional 10% excise tax, which is one of the highest in the state.
There was definitely, you know, some lobbying on behalf of some of the local businesses saying, you know, these taxes are too high and that's why all these businesses are failing. And if you, you know, were to remove this tax, then we would actually be able to thrive and we would be able to compete.
One of the unexpected things for Pueblo was that everybody sort of thought, well, if we legalize this stuff, the illegal stuff will go away, right? I mean, why would they bother? Not only did that not happen, but the law enforcement there said that it actually got worse.
And one of the reasons was that when there's all this legal marijuana around, it's a little bit easier for the illegal marijuana to hide. Why was there so much illegal dealing? Well, what people didn't anticipate is that if you are in the illegal marijuana market, you can charge less. I mean, it's a really simple economic argument, right?
If you're not paying for sales tax, excise tax, marijuana sales tax, county tax, city tax, state tax, you can charge way less than the legal competition. And so they continued to thrive under the legal regime.
They told me that for a long time, they were pulling in something like $20,000 a day in sales. And since then, it's plummeted to about $2,500 a day in sales. They've also shed some employees. And so one of the things that happened is Sticky Icky's owner, in the time that I was talking to him, decided to pull out his stake
in that enterprise because he had another business he'd started in New Mexico. And in New Mexico, he said the taxes were about half what they were in Colorado.
The profitability has dropped dramatically for the businesses. So only like a quarter of these businesses are even profitable. So the trends are not going in the right direction.

Generally, what was happening is there were a lot of people who had some kind of, you know, criminal record, something that was making it difficult for them to find a job. And they also loved cannabis.
And so when they heard about how there was going to be all these jobs, you know, they sort of imagined themselves working in the marijuana fields or at a dispensary and that this would be this kind of golden age where they'd be able to find something to support their families.
Did they ever tell you their story? Like, where are they from? Why are they here?
There are people who, you know, eyewitness coming through sort of on a cannabis journey. And some of that led to problems, you know, where law enforcement were having to show up to large encampments for all kinds of issues that they don't know anymore. You know, did this stem from marijuana? Is it fentanyl now? Is it meth? What's going on? It just kind of became...
this messy soup that nobody can really, really sift through anymore.
There's definitely a couple of longstanding organizations there. But to give you a sense, the executive director that I spoke to at one of the only organizations that really can provide like shelter for families, she said that she grew just so overworked and burned out from the situation that she left. She left not only the organization, but she left Pueblo altogether.
It's still open. It has a couple other owners. I know there was some talk of selling. They have, you know, significantly fewer customers than, you know, they did in the past. But they sort of feel like the longer they hang on, the fewer competitors they have. And one of the things they have going for them is that they were among the first.
And so they snatched some customers who know about them, stop by, you know, regularly.
Well, I talked to the local economic development corporation. You know, these are the guys whose job it is to sort of sell Pueblo to businesses and help create a better economic picture.
under the assumption that you're serious about making Canada the 51st state of the United States, the leader of the Conservative Party in Canada said, under no circumstances will I ever be the 51st state.
To Dave's point, you had suggested that you were considering military force to acquire Panama and Greenland. Are you also considering military force to annex and acquire Canada?
The fact that the state thinks that they're more important and have a better say in what happens to your child over the actual parent's opinion is egregious. Puberty blockers, surgeries, big money makers for hospitals, for physicians.
Trump once again talked about the idea of now a merger between Canada and the United States. You would dismiss that as a joke. At what point do you say that that's no longer a laughing matter and something that should be taken with quite a bit of seriousness?
Greenland and Panama Canal. So what can you assure the world that as you try to get control of these areas, you are not going to use military or economic coercion? No. Can you tell us a little bit about what your plan is? Are you going to negotiate a new treaty? Are you going to ask the Canadians to hold the vote? What is the strategy?
He's one of 6,000 plus federal employees who work for the Internal Revenue Service fired this week as part of mass layoffs happening under the Trump administration. The majority of those workers, like Charles, were probationary workers employed for less than a year. Charles told us more than two dozen employees were laid off from his office here off Gessner.
He says it took over a year to get his dream job as a tax-exempt officer dealing with nonprofit organizations and compliance. His pride and passion taken away.
Why?
The prosecutors explain German law also prohibits the spread of malicious gossip, violent threats, and fake quotes. If somebody posts something that's not true, and then somebody else reposts it or likes it, are they committing a crime?
The punishment for breaking hate speech laws can include jail time for repeat offenders.
Oh, oh, oh, no, no, no, no, no.
It's 6.01 on a Tuesday morning, and we were with state police as they raided this apartment in northwest Germany. Inside, six armed officers searched the suspect's home, then seized his laptop and cell phone. Prosecutors say those electronics may have been used to commit a crime. The crime? Posting a racist cartoon online.
At the exact same time across Germany, more than 50 similar raids played out. Part of what prosecutors say is a coordinated effort to curb online hate speech in Germany.
What's the typical reaction when the police show up at somebody's door and they say, hey, we believe you wrote this on the Internet?
They don't think it was illegal.
Is it a crime to insult somebody in public? Yes.
And it's a crime to insult them online as well? Yes.
Last year, archaeologists detected what they said could be 200 unmarked graves at this former school in Kamloops, British Columbia. Weeks later, a further 751 unmarked graves were detected across from the former Merrillville Residential School on the Cowessess Reserve in Saskatchewan.
There was once a Catholic cemetery here, but the headstones were bulldozed in the 1960s by a priest after a dispute with a former chief.
Medical examiner Dr. Andrew Baker testified that in his initial autopsy on George Floyd, he found no physical evidence of asphyxia and that coronary artery disease and hypertension contributed to his death. Baker later added Floyd's high level of fentanyl and other drugs in his system also were factors in his death, as was the police restraint.
Baker says his office received hundreds of complaints and threats as a result of these findings. But Baker denied he ever felt pressured to change his conclusions.
President Zelensky, do you feel like the U.S. is on your side, that President Trump is on your side at this moment?
What was your second question? My second question for President Zelensky, why don't you wear a suit? Why don't you wear a suit? You're the highest level in this country's office and you refuse to wear a suit. Do you own a suit? A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the dignity of this office.
You said yesterday that you are going to send more arms to Ukraine in case there's no peace.
The records show prosecutors called only five witnesses, three investigators, and two victims, one who was only 14 when she was first enticed to Epstein's mansion. The girls testified how while they were underage high school students, Jeffrey Epstein paid them for massages but sexually abused them repeatedly, including two who were raped.
But prosecutor Lana Belalovic quickly moved to questioning the girls as though they were on trial, asking one, you understand you in effect were committing prostitution yourself? Bela Lavek brought up their MySpace accounts, asking an investigator, and does her website also include pictures of her in skimpy attire, drinking alcohol, and sexually provocative photos?
Photos she then produced to the grand jury. Bela Lavek asked the girls about their piercings. drinking beer and shoplifting histories, asking one, you've had problems with drugs, haven't you? When jurors had a chance to question the victim, they seemed to follow Belalovic's lead, one asking, do you have any idea deep down inside of you that you, what you're doing is wrong? Victim, yeah, I did.
Bela Lovick also seemed to make allowances for Epstein, asking one investigator, so he didn't make her do anything she was uncomfortable with. One juror did jump in to defend the teenager, saying, perhaps you were too young to be up against a man of that age who had more control over you and that you knew.
Do you know how many?
23 people were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted. Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this. They'll be very happy. So they're all in prison now?
Carmelo, do you have anything that you'd like to say, Carmelo? Do you have anything that you'd like to say to the victim, to the family of the victim? Why were you armed, sweetheart? Carmelo, why were you armed at school? Explain your self-defense. How is this self-defense?
You are the first black head coach to go to a national championship game in college football. Just hearing that response alone. How much does this mean to you.
What's behind all of this?
If a judge does block one of your policies, part of your agenda, will you abide by that ruling?
Measles outbreak in Texas is growing and a second unvaccinated child has died of the virus. Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr. was at the child's funeral yesterday and publicly backed the MMR vaccine as the most effective way to prevent the spread of the disease. Of course, that is raising the question, though, why did he wait until now to do that?
That was his most direct statement yet as someone who in the past has been a vaccine skeptic.
Without stronger climate action, Antarctic ice will continue to melt at an accelerating rate.
Some Catholics were not so happy about the image of you looking like the pope.
Even though it was AI generated, it was a joke. It was a meme. Does it at all diminish the substance of the official White House account?
Hi there, I'm a reporter with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
I understand, we mean no trouble. We're just curious who the occupants of the home are.
Well, there are connections to New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Are you related to Letitia James? Do you know her?
Thank you, ma'am. Thank you, ma'am. You have a good one.
Hmm.
Yeah, you're not shy.
Investigators have been taking blankets, toys and clothing from the home. Cindy Short.
Authorities seem to be scouring every inch of the home where baby Lisa Irwin disappeared. The search comes days after an FBI cadaver dog reacted to the scent of a dead person inside the house. That's according to a police affidavit.
The last known sighting of Jersey the Handyman that we can confirm was Saturday, October 1st here at One Eye Jack's Tavern. The owners of the bar tell us they kicked him out for being a rude drunk who was spitting on customers on the patio.
Are you planning to leave office January 20th, 2029, or are you saying you might not? Go ahead, Ania.
Including Ireland?
We could wind up in a situation where maybe this administration decides to leave parts of the government that provide valuable services to the American people closed permanently.
Why should Canadians trust you with their vote, given... you know, not just the sort of ideological inclination in terms of taking the page of Donald Trump's book, but also... What are you talking about? What page? What page? Can you give me a page? Give me the page. You keep saying that.
In terms of turning things quite dramatically in terms of Trudeau and the left wing and all of this, I mean, you make quite a, you know, it's quite a play that you make on it. So I'm just wondering.
Okay, then forget that. Why should Canadians trust you with their vote? Common sense.
Investigators are quickly closing in on the baby's mother, Deborah.
Do you think Deborah may be facing an arrest?
Why?
Do you think it's inevitable?
And they are still searching urgently for the child, although they do say that as every hour passes, this case gets harder to solve. And at this point, police freely admit they have no suspects and no leads.
The news coverage is wall to wall. Just a couple hours ago at a news conference held by Kansas City Police and investigators in the case,
We don't even yet know the names of the 67 people who were killed. And you are blaming Democrats and DEI policies and air traffic control and seemingly the member of the U.S. military who was flying that Black Hawk helicopter. Don't you think you're getting ahead of the investigation right now?
Excuse me, Representative, do you favor men and women's sports? I'm sorry, I'm busy trying to get my work done so I can get home. Representative Dodge, I'd love to just ask you a couple of questions about men playing and women's sports. Do you have any comment on that?
Excuse me, Representative, I'm just wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions.
Thank you. Do you have any comments that you'd like to make on the proceedings tonight? I have no comment.
He says the individual mandate cannot be sustained under Congress's power to regulate commerce. That means the mandate is gone.
The president is not keeping his promise to bring down egg prices.
Egg prices went up, and now on the year they are up by more than 60%. Last month it was 58%. So the president is not keeping his promise to bring down egg prices.
He was the leader for the East Coast, one of the top three in the entire country, right here in Virginia, living half an hour outside of Washington, D.C. He is an illegal alien from El Salvador. and he will not be living in our country much longer.
My crew and I arrived shortly after it started, and for several hours we watched as hundreds of homes in a neighborhood burned to the ground. We did not see a single fire engine. You were out of the country at the time. My question to you is, what explains this lack of preparation and rapid response?
Do you think your leadership was effective while responding to this disaster?
This is your house?
Thanks, Caroline. I wanted to ask about a federal judge yesterday was saying that they didn't know who the Doge administrator was and was asking the lawyer for the administration who it was. And the lawyer responded, I don't know the answer to that. Can you tell us who the administrator of Doge is?
Trump is surrounded by women as music blares in the background. After a while, Trump goes to greet three new guests. Among them, the financier Jeffrey Epstein. More than a decade before his guilty plea on state prostitution charges. Later in the footage, Trump is seen talking to Epstein and another man as women are dancing in front of them.
Trump alternates between dancing and pointing out women to Epstein and the other man and telling Epstein about the cameras. Though exactly what they say is difficult to understand as they discuss the women and their appearances, Trump gestures to one and appears to say to Epstein, look at her back there. She's hot.
And then Trump says something else into Epstein's ear that makes him double over with laughter. But as the president says now, he never liked Epstein.
What do you think of Lindsay Lohan? I think she's hot. There's something there, right? Yes. But you have to like freckles. I've seen a close-up of her chest. Yes. And a lot of freckles. Are you into freckles? If the father's a wreck like the way he is, you imagine the sex with his troubled... Yeah, you're probably right. She's probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed.
How come the deeply troubled women, you know, deeply, deeply troubled, they're always the best in bed. For some reason, what I said is true. I mean, they're just unbelievable. You don't want to be with them for the long term.
Back to those deportation flights to El Salvador, can the administration provide any more details on how authorities determined that each of those men were in fact members of a gang? And if the White House can publish images, photos, videos of those men, why can't the administration just release basic information like their identities and names?
To follow up, I know in the last briefing you cited privacy concerns as a reason why the administration may not be able to reveal the identities. What exactly are the privacy rights of immigrants who were deported that the administration says were dangerous enough to be sent to El Salvador and sent into prison?
Back to those deportation flights to El Salvador, can the administration provide any more details on how authorities determined that each of those men were in fact members of a gang? And if the White House can publish images, photos, videos of those men, why can't the administration just release basic information like their identities and names?
And if I could ask a question about the judge as well. How does a president define a bad judge? Is it just someone who disagrees with him? And is that a dangerous precedent in this case because this is a temporary ruling from Judge Boasberg that he could ultimately rule in your favor. Is he setting up a standard here for calling for the impeachment of a judge who may ultimately rule on your side?
Thank you. Two quick questions. Can you explain the president's thinking in his decision to fire the two Democratic commissioners, especially given that Mark Medder is on track to be confirmed next week and there would be a Republican majority? My biggest question is why now?
The ultimate goal is to get this to the Supreme Court to try to overturn the 1935 precedent.
So was it the president himself who directed the planes to stay in the air after the judge ordered them to turn back?
Do you have any message for Ukrainians who, after three years of fighting, might feel betrayed or disappointed at not having a seat at these initial talks in Saudi Arabia?
Fox News alert, the largest mass deportation operation in U.S. history has begun. Primetime got its hands on exclusive photos of ice raids from a... And then remember Donald Trump said, oh, I'm just going to go after the criminals first.
On immigration, sir, you said you would be sending the worst of the worst to Guantanamo Bay. What we're finding out is that there are a lot of low risk migrants who don't have a criminal background who are also being sent. Are you thinking about this differently now?
Sure, go ahead. On tariffs. Yesterday in the Oval Office... Which outlet are you in? The Canadian Public Broadcaster. Nice to see you. Thank you. Yesterday in the Oval Office, President Trump suggested that there could be some help for automakers. I'm wondering what that looks like. Is it tariff relief on the 25% tariffs that are in place right now?
Or the new tariffs that are coming up in May on auto parts? And a second on Canada, if I may. President Trump's tone when it comes to Canada-US relations. Canadians have noticed... It's shifted a bit in the past few weeks, ever since the election campaign started. He stopped talking about Canada becoming the 51st state, at least publicly. I'm wondering if that's on purpose and why.
And the hot topic here has been President-elect Trump's comments about buying this Danish territory. Take a listen. a lot about Trump and also their opinion about Trump.
Well, most of the people that we talked with said that they did not support Trump's comments and found them offensive.
You're welcome. If we could just step back for a second. When President Trump last addressed the BRT when he was on the campaign trail, his big push was on tax cuts. He's going there today as he's proposing tax hikes in the form of tariffs. And I'm curious for why he's prioritizing that over the tax cuts.

He said around $500 to $700 billion. There was no evidence to claim that. And also, if that is the case, that would represent more than a third of what Social Security paid out last year, maybe 20% of Social Security and Medicare.
Thanks, Caroline. Just back on the markets, you said that what we're seeing this week right now on Wall Street is a snapshot of a moment in time. But does the president think he bears any responsibility for the turmoil in the stock market this week?
Conversations between the administration and the Canadians going on over this tariff because the Ontario premier says the next step is to cut off electricity to the U.S.
Really, really appreciate you having me, Caroline. A couple of questions for you, if I may. First is first on this stock market. So currently it's the 25th anniversary today of the dot-com bubble crash. There's a lot of concern for a lot of Americans right now about the state of the economy. President Trump has refused to rule out a recession.
Secretary Lutnick, however, has told us there will not be one. So can the White House just tell and assure Americans today that there's not going to be a recession?
Because I have. They don't get charged on foreign companies. They get charged on the importers.
Thanks, Caroline.

Because I have. They don't get charged on foreign companies. They get charged on the importers.
Mr. President, you mentioned the ups and downs in the stock market. You said it'll go up, it'll go down. But do you and your tariff policies right now bear any responsibility for the turmoil we're seeing this week?
Mr. President, on the pharmaceutical side, have you made any determination on kind of what those tariff rates may look like and the timing of those tariffs?
On your proclamation designating this Mental Health Awareness Month, can you speak to concerns people are having regarding your administration cutting a billion dollars in mental health programs for schools?
I am told that Operation Sindoor is only in its first phase right now. There could be more attacks. There could be more attacks against Pakistani targets
Thanks, Caroline. I wanted to ask about a federal judge yesterday was saying that they didn't know who the Doge administrator was and was asking the lawyer for the administration, who it was, and the lawyer responded, I don't know the answer to that. Can you tell us who the administrator of Doge is?
that they found out about her being the administrator yesterday. Why is that?
Did you announce her position to the rest of the other staff?
The Time interview with President Trump, he said that he has made 200 deals on tariffs, 200 deals. Who has he made deals with? Is there actually any deal at this point?
And we're going to make a lot of money, and we're going to cut taxes for the people of this country. It'll take a little while before we do that. But we're going to be cutting taxes. And, as possible, we'll do a complete tax cut, because I think the tariffs will be enough to cut all of the income tax. Now, we have a lot of debt that's been left to us, you know, unfortunately, over many years.
We'll take care of that. But the tariffs
I know people are anxious right now. The crisis in the United States doesn't stop at their borders.
Now an imminent threat for Canada's economy. Five percent tariffs on all goods. Beginning to feel like 2008.
They can become divided and weak. But this is Canada. And we decide what happens here. Let's choose to be united and strong. Canada Strong.
On the headline, that's a misleading headline. Three U.S. citizens, ages four, seven, and two, were not deported. Their mothers, who are legally in this country, were deported. The children went with their mothers. If those children are U.S. citizens, they can come back into the United States if there's their father or someone here who wants to assume them.
But ultimately, who was deported was their mothers, who were here illegally. The children just went with their mothers. But it wasn't like you guys make it sound like ICE agents kicked down the door and grabbed a two-year-old and threw him on an airplane. That's misleading.
So he continues now with the new fraud. He pivots, right? 24 hours. That was just it was fake news for you to take me seriously there.
Mr. President, all we told you about information was not classified. Another question, please, go ahead. Just following up on your comments on the economy.
National security was put at risk, Mr. President, of senior officials using Signal. The use of Signal to communicate from senior officials.
The Secretary of Defense, PXF, and J.D. Barnes, the Vice President, said that the Europeans were freeloading. Do you agree with those assessments?
So are you saying you're okay with the continued use of signal by administration officials?
Can you explain the rationale in having the U.S. vote against the U.N. resolution that Ukraine proposed and also the U.S. proposed?
Mrs. Secretary, why did you select an underqualified retired lieutenant general to be the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? I'm going to choose to reject your unqualified question.
Gasoline is now buying, they're buying gasoline now for $1.99. When I, if you look back, you'll see $3.50, $4.
The USA, by the way, very important. So it's something that I've been looking forward to for a long time. And I just noticed you too, Jim, you're standing there and behind you is a very important document, Declaration of Independence.
General Grant. Und so ist es sehr aufregend. Wenn Sie hier und über Ronald Reagan schauen, haben Sie Thomas Jefferson. Das ist Monroe aus dem Monroe-Dokument. And you know who that is, right? Andrew Jackson. So we have a lot of very exciting pictures.
And on the other side, likewise, just some great, great presidents and great people. Many of these people we're asking about, many of them, almost all of them, were in the vaults or nearby, but generally in the vaults downstairs.
There really is no current system. We have certain areas of missiles and certain missile defense, but there's no system. We just have some very capable weapons that hopefully we never have to use, but we have some very capable weapons. Now this is a different league. There's never been anything like this. This is something that's going to be...
Well, they're wrong. It's about as close to perfect as you can have in terms of real production. I told you Canada wants to be a part of it, which would be a fairly small expansion. But we'll work with them on pricing. We'll be dealing with them on pricing. They know about it very much. They've asked to be a part of it, actually. They've asked us to be a part of it.
I think it's something that is great. If you can afford to do it, we can afford to do it. You know, we took in 5.1 trillion dollars in the last four days in the Middle East. And when you think about it, this is a tiny fraction of that. But we make it all here. We're going to make it all here. We have... Er hat nicht 5 Trillionen gekauft.
Es ist unglaublich, wenn du es denkst, du schießt Schüsse aus dem Luft. I'm also pleased to report that the one big beautiful bill will include 25 billion dollars for the Golden Dome to help construction get underway. That's the initial sort of a down posit. And we have Dann gibt es Pete Hegseth, der Donald Trump aufschüttelt, das seltsame AI-Foto von Golden Dome zu zeigen.
People actually love it. Mr. President, on Russia, are you worried about the reports on a military buildup along the borders towards Finland and Norway? No, I don't worry about that at all. They're going to be very safe. Those are two countries that are going to be very safe.
Ich möchte darüber sprechen.
Well, he's in a war. Nobody said don't. They're fighting, they're attacking, they're attacking each other. And people are dying all the time. He's in a war. He's fighting a war. Nobody said he was going to stop. I think, is it terrible? Yeah, it's terrible. I do. I think it's terrible.
Here, play this clip. Compassionate First Lady, I would say she is very dedicated. In fact...
But we'll be taking and we are taking in right now 25 percent in cars, 25 percent of steel and aluminum, 25 percent on other things. And that'll be going up to 50, 75, maybe 100. In some cases, we have to get our pharmaceutical industry back.
Once we establish that in another couple of weeks, it'll start roaring back. It's already roaring back because they know we're doing it.
Let me just tell you, the cut is going to give everybody much more food because prices are coming way down. Groceries are down. Eggs. You told me about eggs. You asked me a question about eggs my first week. You said eggs. I said, I just got here. Tell me about eggs. And there's going through, if you know that eggs now, way down. Everybody's buying eggs. Groceries down, energies down.
...that President Trump said this week. He did not say yes when he was asked if he sees Ukraine as an equal member in the peace process. He did say later that Ukraine would have a seat at the table. Have you been given any assurances that Ukraine will have an equal seat at the negotiating table?
Mr. Leader, good afternoon. What would you... Your statement the other day after there was this incident in Newark, you said they better not touch our members.
What happens if they were to go and arrest these members or if they would try to sanction them during the House of Representatives? They'll find out. What would you do? They'll find out. Of course. I mean, doesn't that broach a... They'll find out. Doesn't that go across... That's a red line. What's the red line, though? I mean, I know we have... It's a red line.
Look, let's face it. Hamas is based in Qatar. OK, how do they explain that away? Hamas is based in Qatar. And what about this plane? What are your thoughts on this jumbo jet that the Qataris want to give President Trump?
Congressman, thank you so much. Good to see you.
Who are you with? The Wall Street Journal. That's right. Why, you people treat us so badly. The Wall Street Journal has truly gotten to hell. Go ahead. It's a rotten newspaper. You hear what I said? It's a rotten newspaper. On the real newspaper. I wouldn't tell the Wall Street Journal because it'd be wasting my time. There are talks, but I don't want to talk to the Wall Street Journal.
But look, the Wall Street Journal is China-oriented, and they're really mad for this country. Go ahead.
There are a lot of questions about that. And he wants to get rid of the IRS.
What do you need to see from President Zelensky to restart these negotiations?
You heard Lucas is reporting there where the president says he doesn't care if the prices go up on U.S. cars. So what's the message to the U.S. consumer?
Are you going to move it up with the universal tariff or different individual tariff rates on a whole variety of different?
So you recently bought a Tesla for White House staff to use. terrorists targeting Teslas. Are the staff scared to drive it?
There is a town hall planned today in Lansing, and Congressman Tom Barrett has been invited to attend. But it doesn't look like he's going to show up. The organizers behind the event say they will still leave an empty chair on the stage anyway and give people a chance to voice their concerns about recent changes to the government.
And on these auto tariffs, we saw obviously the NASDAQ 100 go down 2% at close as a peak. I mean, this guy knows nothing about nothing and seems not even to care. He's asked about Signalgate, by the way.
What's your response to Republican lawmakers who have said today that your administration should take more accountability and not downplay what's happened with the signal that we've seen in these messages today?
Mr. President, have you been briefed about the soldiers in Lithuania who are missing?
Mr. President, do you still think that Mr. Zelensky is a bit tighter?
President, do you still think that Mr. Zelensky is a dictator?
Just to follow up on that, if British troops are in Ukraine keeping the peace and get attacked by Russia, will you come to their aid?
CEO Eric Prince was on our channel News Nation. He was talking about his proposal to use private forces to assist in deportations. Have you read that proposal and do you support it?
You obviously can do business with our Prime Minister Keir Starmer. You said yesterday that that the EU was constructed to screw the US when it comes to trade. What can our Prime Minister say to you to persuade you not to impose tariffs on the United Kingdom?
Mr. President, veterans make up 30% of the federal workforce. Are you tracking how many veterans have been fired so far? Yes, we are.
On tariffs, you just said with China... Who are you with? I'm with the Independent. Oh, that's good. On tariffs, you just said with China... We charge them. We charge them as we charge China, but... The tariffs are paid eventually by American importers and consumers.
Please, ma'am, go ahead. What would you be willing to do if Vladimir Putin did not?
President Trump, Andrew and Tristan Tate landed in Florida today on a private jet after being released from custody in Romania. They are accused rapists, human traffickers, not thought of as good people in many circles. I can't. Did your administration pressure the remaining government to release them? And if so, why?
He's back. They already picked him up.
Are you aware of it?
Hello, Alina.
I'm a fan. You're the one saving Trump. You're doing more important work than me.
I've seen consumer confidence this week have a sharp drop from last month, the biggest dip in, I believe, three years. Why is that, your assessment, why is that the case, and is there anything you can do?
$45 upfront payment equivalent to $15 per month. New customers on first three-month plan only. Taxes and fees extra. Speeds lower above 40 gigabytes per details.
After 10 years working in public service and making every single payment on student loans, some Americans could soon see the rest of their school debt completely forgiven.
Tesla factory workers in California are working so hard they're passing out on the production line.
Trump won this state. In Bell County, 84% voted for Trump, yet it deeply relies on federal funding. A CNN analysis found the 15 states that most rely on federal funding for its public schools in 2022 all voted for Trump. And I voted for President Trump. I mean, you're an educator. You didn't vote for Trump eliminating federal funds.
You're fond of saying that agriculture is the lifeblood of South Dakota. Yet your farmers, already struggling, are now facing additional headwinds, including contract freezes. staff firings, including inadvertent ones or accidental ones affecting bird flu responders, and also the interruption of overseas food aid that they depend on.
So how does all this make sense when food prices are already through the roof and when support for downsizing the government could be on the chopping block as the damage from this purge builds up?
I think you're onto something with that. That's why I wanted you to elaborate here.
You have long supported Ukraine, aid to Ukraine. Are you at all concerned about the president's rhetoric blaming Ukraine for starting the war and calling for elections in Ukraine, which is what Vladimir Putin is calling for?
We're hearing that Russia wants to force Ukraine to hold new elections in order to sign any kind of a peace deal. Is that something that the U.S. would ever support?
Mr. President, on Jerome Powell, you said that the termination of Jerome Powell cannot come fast enough. He says he won't leave, even if you ask him to.
Do you intend to see Powell's firing if he doesn't change his stance on rate cuts? Or is that on the table?
Do you believe you have the power to remove him, and are you trying to do that?
You did say that you are confident these deals will be done, but you also said that you're in no rush. Americans are seeing prices rise. They're seeing it on their bills. How long can they expect that pain to last?
Mr. President, if I were to hold you in contempt, will you take steps to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States and put him in front of a judge?
The things that Secretary of Defense was talking about, the 2014 borders and the lack of NATO membership,
Well, he's going to have to do what he has to do, but
Do you view Ukraine as an equal member of this peace process?
earlier in the day talking about no nato for ukraine ever and the fact that ukraine should never be restored to pre-2014 borders play this clip we want like you a sovereign and prosperous ukraine but we must start by recognizing that returning to ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective
The United States does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement. Instead, any security guarantee must be backed by capable European and non-European troops.
The Treasury Secretary just told lawmakers that a tariff exemption for certain baby items like car seats is under consideration. Will you exempt some products that families don't know?
China said the US initiated the trade talks this weekend and that its position hasn't changed. Are you still confident you can reach a deal with China?
In order to have substantive negotiations, you have to bring down your 145% tariffs. Are you open to pulling back your tariffs in order to get China to the negotiating table?
Does trade deficits constitute a national emergency?
It does. You're telling me trade deficits equals a national create.
And do you know also, sir, that for the last four decades, we've had trade deficits in the United States of America? Yes. And nobody said it was an emergency? Democratic and Republican presidents? You know what that says to me? That is not an emergency because it hasn't been for four decades. It says to me that we should bring tariffs back to the United States of America.
Congress so that we can make that determination, as the Constitution has said, and not try to go around Congress. That's just unbelievable to me.
Now, one big fight, Martha, has been over a picture of the chairman. Chairwoman Marjorie Taylor Greene actually brought it up during the hearing, and Democrats said this was a big misrepresentation. Watch this.
Mr. Speaker, the president, over the recent press interview, would not say if he would uphold the Constitution when it comes to doing lawsuits for migrants. I'm wondering, as a constitutional expert, if you're concerned. I don't think that's exactly what he said. He said, I don't know.
The president said over the weekend that as a result of his terror policy, some kids may have fewer dolls, two and three, 20 or 30, fewer pencils, stores, prices could go up. Is that the message that you want to send to the American public?
In order to have substantive negotiations, you have to bring down your 145% tariffs. Are you open to pulling back your tariffs in order to get China to the negotiating table?
They said we initiate it.
Yeah, about a third of the import volume, which means, give or take, about 50,000 20-foot equivalent units gone off the arrivals coming in next week. From next week is when you expect to see this really hit. That's correct. And that matches up the announcements back on April 2nd. Then on April 8th, a little bit of a change on everybody. Ex-China, Mexico, Canada.
And those arrivals are coming at us this weekend.
Right, so CEOs are telling me, hit the pause button, right? I'm not going to import any more at these kind of prices. Let's wait and see. I don't know if it's going to be two hours, two days, or two weeks until I get some clarity. Then hiring off the table for right now, capital investment pause.
And the retailers are telling me that realistically, with even the 10 percent, I'm going to have to pass it on to the consumers.
Yeah, when I was last with you all, Lisa, I said global trade's going to slow, economies will follow, and that's exactly what we're seeing. Back in November, so many of us were wringing our hands about 4% inflation. We've just added 10 percentage points of imports coming out of Southeast Asia for our port and these unbelievable numbers out of China.
The president continues to call the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, governor of Canada. I'm curious what he means by that and if there are any plans that are moving forward with trying to make Canada the 51st state. And I have a follow up on the economy as well.
Is that an America first policy to send American soldiers into one of the most volatile regions in the world and then suggest that the US take control of a region that it has no claim to?
Well, King Abdullah of Jordan will be here next week, so I can provide you more context on the conversations he will have directly with the President of the United States after that meeting. And I would just point out that there's been a lot of leaders and officials all around the world who have doubted, I suppose, the deal-making ability of President Trump.
You heard the Panama leader saying that he would not agree to some of the concessions that he has now made because of Secretary Rubio's visit. You have the Colombian president saying he wouldn't accept flights of Colombian illegal nationals who have entered into our country illegally. And those flights are underway. So actions speak louder than words. Dasha.
Do not ever ask me about this again. No offense to babies. I mean, Donald Trump is a little petulant baby.
Have you talked to Zelensky recently?
Adding to the administration?
Did she have anything to do with the NSC aides who were ousted?
No, not at all.
Even when Elon leaves, it goes back to being CEO, will Doge stick around in some kind of capacity?
Sir, can I ask you about the NSC? How many staffers were let go and why? Your National Security Council, how many staffers were let go?
90,000.
But are you open to deals with these countries if they're calling you?
go to approve we could use tariffs in order to get it approved you know something in return what's the update on the deal negotiations we have uh we're very close to a deal with a very good group of people for tick tock larry ellison and oracle is that multiple investors just multiple and then did the last minute bids kind of throw things into disarray for you or do you have your strategy completely locked up on who's going to which last minute on acquiring tick tock no i think i think i think that
Who knows?
How long will it take you in manufacturing, American manufacturing, to where you would like to see it?
Plans for conversations or a trip to Beijing?
When it comes to this negotiation, April 9th, these tariffs come in place. Do you plan on having negotiations before that date?
The president had this huge chart showing all of the different rates. Canada and Mexico notably missing on that chart. Why is that?
Okay, I imagine that has to do potentially because they're already in negotiations previously with the 25%. I don't know.
Yes. There was an incident recently where the president appeared to slur his words while giving an address. Did you look into what the cause of that might have been at all?
There are now two deceased following that shooting.
Are you trying to remove him, Mr. President?
Do you have questions? Mr. President, yesterday, Judge Boasberg, in a case against your administration, said the Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial order.
And the hot topic here has been President-elect Trump's comments about buying this Danish territory. Take a listen. A lot about Trump and also their opinion about Trump.
Well, most of the people that we talked with said that they did not support Trump's comments and found them offensive.
We're being told by a lot of people who have been let go at other agencies that they were told they were being dismissed because of poor performance, when in some cases they haven't even had a performance review yet because they've only been on the job a couple of months.
The 9-11 health program taking a heavy hit from the Department of Government Efficiency.
More than 137,000 people are enrolled in the 9-11 health program. First responders and everyday New Yorkers exposed to the toxic dust, battling health ailments and cancers. The program created to keep them alive is now the latest target of budget cuts under Elon Musk and Doge. It's repulsive. It's reckless.
But on February 13th, House discovered that the VA cut 1,000 probationary employees. The next day, he saw an email.
House says it feels like a betrayal because from his time served in the Navy to his years here at the VA, his entire adult life has been dedicated to this country.
This 80% disabled veteran now joins many others around the country who are left searching for their next step and who are left hoping that others don't have to meet this same fate.
Some federal workers may tell you a job with the government takes on a higher meaning.
For Navy veteran Greg House, he wanted to continue helping others who have spent time in the military.
So he jumped at the chance to join the Veterans Affairs team in Salt Lake City last year, and all indicators told him he was thriving in the role.
Do you make the Trump administration's actions?
I'm not going to give you my best foghorn, leghorn response to that. But what I was... You can go ahead and sit down. Thank you. The... When you talk about tyranny, when you talk about presidential power, I remember having the same discussion with Republicans when Biden was elected. The funny thing is... The funny thing is...
The funny thing is, you're sitting here and a lot of you would probably say those January 6s who are yelling just as loud as you, who are upset just like you.
Have you decided what kind of role you have post-presidency, sir? Do you plan to speak out after you leave Washington or are you going to follow kind of more of the Bush model where you're kind of out of sight, out of mind?
So sir, on pardons, have you rolled out a pardon for yourself or any other additional members of the family? For myself? Yes, sir.
Mr. President, do you regret your decision to run for reelection? Do you think that that made it easier for your predecessor to now become your successor?
in 1880 the other a bible from when he went to demonstrations with dr martin luther king jr and jesse jackson brown says that he lent the artifacts to the smithsonian in 2016. they would always give him the option of donating the books permanently or renewing the loan but this time he wasn't asked improper ideology they're going after museums let's bring in california's attorney general ron bata
Some artifacts are already being removed. Recent executive orders signed by President Trump aimed at removing what he called improper ideology could already be affecting the African-American History Museum. Civil rights activist and pastor Reverend Amos Brown says he was recently notified two of the artifacts he loaned to the museum would be returned.

Thank you for having me, Caroline. The president posted another ad this week for his Trump meme coin. The group that's running that coin is encouraging people to buy in order to win a dinner this month with the president. Why is the president planning to attend a dinner for the top investors in his coin?
There are at least some people who are buying this coin who seem to view it as an opportunity to influence the president's views. There was a logistics company this week that said they would buy $20 million in the coin in order to advocate for free trade between the U.S. and Mexico. If buyers are buying for that reason, are they wasting their money?
You noted he is a successful businessman. Do you know if the president has any plans to meet with any of the folks involved with any of the family businesses over there or see any of the sites that are going to be neutral?
Caroline, yesterday the administration appears to have started dismantling the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This is the federal agency, an independent one that does recalls and is responsible for product safety. Does the administration not believe that it's important to keep toys and cribs? I mean, you're a young mom off of the market.
Yesterday we saw the news of the new Pope. Before Pope Leo became Pope Leo, there were some critical comments that he made about President Trump and about Vice President Vance on his ex-account, then ex-account. Does the White House have any reaction to those comments?
Are you going to make that policy, U.S. policy, that the U.S. wouldn't defend NATO countries that don't pay?
A question from AFP. US President Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News said he would prefer not to have to impose tariffs on China, but that tariffs were a tremendous power over China. Does the foreign ministry have a comment on this? Thank you.
There is no organized protest, but in this deep red congressional district, those here have deep-seated concern about President Trump and Elon Musk.
Contrary to some Republican claims that outside groups come to disrupt.
A promising advance in the fight against Alzheimer's could be threatened by doge cuts and funding delays. Researchers have developed an experimental drug that appears to delay symptoms in some people who are genetically destined to get the disease in their 40s or 50s. It is a first of its kind study, but early results have been encouraging.
However, the NIH grant that researchers hoped would fund further research to save lives has been delayed, an example of how spending cuts and confusion in Washington are affecting critical scientific research.
that the Alien Enemies Act has only been invoked three other times, and they were all during times of war. Do you feel that you're using it appropriately right now?
You have criticized President Biden for using auto pens in the last few days. Have you yourself ever used auto pens, sir?
Here he is wishing her well. Play this clip. Ghislaine Maxwell is in prison and a lot of people want to know if she's going to turn in powerful people. And I know you've talked in the past about Prince Andrew and you've criticized Bill Clinton's behavior. I'm wondering, do you feel that she's going to turn in powerful men? How do you see that working out?
Mr. President, because of these tariffs, who do you think voters should hold responsible?

Trump won the state. In Bell County, 84% voted for Trump, yet it deeply relies on federal funding. A CNN analysis found the 15 states that most rely on federal funding for its public schools in 2022 all voted for Trump.
So we've heard that he could be signing this executive order today to abolish the Department of Education. Is that coming today?
Mr. President, in regards to the pause on military assistance to Ukraine, you put out on your social media post today that Russia is pounding Ukraine.
Why not provide Ukraine with air defenses? And what happens, Mr. President, when Ukraine runs out of the Patriot missile batteries?
Millions of Americans watched your joint address earlier this week where you warned that there could be a little disturbance that Americans could feel as a function of these taxes, these tariffs. How much disturbance are you willing to accept in the near term as a function of that? And to set expectations, how long should Americans expect things to cost a bit more?
Do you still believe him when he tells you that he wants peace?
If we ever went down 20% on the NASDAQ or 15% on the S&P, With people that want Trump to fail, that's going to be splayed across every newspaper in the world. I'm just wondering whether the tolerance for something like that for the administration.
I have a question related to the regulatory or deregulatory agenda, which I think is...
Mr. President! Is the deal off?
Second question for President Zelensky. Why don't you wear a suit? Why don't you wear a suit? You're the highest level in this country's office and you refuse to wear a suit. Do you own a suit?
A lot of Americans have problems with you. Really? I don't have such.
Mr. President, is there anything China, Canada and Mexico can do tonight to forestall your implementation of tariffs tomorrow?
not a negotiating tool? The President No, it's not.
With efforts to reduce the federal workforce, whether it's offering what we've called the buyout package or other efforts, do you have any concerns that there will be employees broadly across the federal government who might take that up? And they're a part of the many different ways that agencies protect the public, from food inspections to water safety to...
Well, they have still got 10 hours to try to avoid tariffs before they snap into place at 12.01 a.m. So I wouldn't be surprised if the president hears from Canada and hears from Mexico and maybe even gets a call from his friend Xi Jinping.
abroad listen to what trump has to say here let's play it mr president is there anything china canada and mexico can do tonight to forestall your implementation of tariffs tomorrow no nothing not right now no not a negotiating tool no it's not no it's a pure economic we have big deficits with as you know with all three of them
You promised Americans to try to reduce costs in so many of the products that would be tariffed. When they come into the country, the outgoing country is not paying the tariff. The buyers in the United States pay that, and then that's passed on to consumers in most instances.
How would you expect to have prices come down if you have such a broad plan for tariffs? And what do you say to the voters who want to see you reduce everyday costs?
about a third term, about possibly wanting a third term. Does that mean you're not planning to leave office on January 20th?
On the tariffs that you're planning, so there are, you're expecting to hit something like 10 to 15 countries, is that right?
All of the countries? Is it across the board? Not 10.
So we heard that you were going to hit 15%.
So how many countries will be in that initial tranche?
about given the impact of your efforts to readjust the economy?
Hey, hey, oh, oh, Elon Musk has got to go.
Hey, hey, oh, oh, Elon Musk has got to go.
Hey, hey, oh, oh, Elon Musk has got to go.
Hey, hey.
Second of all, my question is, what is your opinion on the Federal Reserve? And do you have any intentions of doing anything with them? And the Fed.
Hey, all I will say is the president put out a statement and a few rounds later he was drafted. So I think the facts speak for themselves on that one, Peter. We'll go to the back row in the middle, to the blonde.
There's no holdup. We're working around the clock. The trade team is working all day. I was on the phone late last night with... Secretary Lutnick, I was on the phone this weekend as well with Secretary Besson. I mean, the entire team is working 24-7 to get these trade deals done. And I think you'll be hearing more about them this week.
I don't want to get ahead of the trade team or the president in announcing potential deals, but certainly I can assure the American public that this administration is full speed ahead in cutting good and fair trade deals on behalf of the American worker.
We'll go to the back row in the middle, to the blonde. Yes, hello. President Trump has said that Secretary Hegseth will get it together. Does he think that Hegseth doesn't have it together right now? Look, the President has made his position on Secretary Hegseth quite clear. He absolutely has confidence in the Secretary's ability to lead the Pentagon. It's why he nominated him for this position.
It's why the Senate voted to confirm him in this position. And look at the success that DOD has had thus far. Their successful operation against the Houthi terrorists in the Middle East If you look at the recruitment and retention levels for all branches of our armed forces are on the incline, which is exactly what this president intended to do.
Secretary Hegseth has completely wiped out DEI from the Pentagon as well. And so he's going to remain focused on standing up for our warfighters, on implementing President Trump's peace through strength foreign policy agenda abroad. And the president supports him in his role.
A promising advance in the fight against Alzheimer's could be threatened by doge cuts and funding delays. Researchers have developed an experimental drug that appears to delay symptoms in some people who are genetically destined to get the disease in their 40s or 50s. While enrolled at Yale Law School, Vance met Jamil Javani. The Conservative MP was elected to Parliament in a by-election earlier this year. They are, in Javani's words, best friends.
Sure. Thanks. There have been some media reports just in the last few hours that the administration has decided to withdraw from the International Center for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression Against Ukraine, which is designed to hold Putin accountable for war crimes. Are you able to confirm that? And if that has occurred, why has that occurred?
What criteria, other than, say, tattoos or maybe being in the wrong place at the wrong time, are they using to determine that someone is actually a member of one of these organizations?
Something different. There is now a member of the European Parliament from France who does not think the U.S. represents the values of the Statue of Liberty anymore. They want the Statue of Liberty back. So is President Trump going to send the Statue of Liberty back to France?
Caroline, thank you so much. You mentioned earlier in the briefing that you guys are at the 10-yard line of peace. Given the amount of progress that you've made in such a short amount of time, is that an indictment of the previous administration's foreign policy stance, and is it just more proof that you need to talk to people to sort of get things done?
The President is on the record talking about issuing preemptive pardons to these people.
You keep talking about the judge's written order, which hit the docket Saturday night at about 7.26 p.m., but he issued a verbal order before that at about 6.45 and 6.48 p.m. based on the court hearing, a verbal order from the bench. Does the White House feel the need to comply with a verbal order from this judge?
So what about the verbal order, which of course carries the same legal weight as a written order and said for the plaintiffs to turn around if they were in the case?
Is there any evidence on that, that he wasn't aware?
Hey, so on Friday, the president suggested at length that it should be illegal to criticize judges, but he has repeatedly criticized judges who rule against him. And Elon Musk is calling for impeachment of judges who have opposed the administration. So how are those two things not in conflict?
Let's hear the question from this very low rated anchor at CBN.
a tariff, the more, the faster they move in. The higher the tariff, it's inversely proportional. The higher the tariff, the faster they come. And yeah, we're going to be doing that. That's going to be like we have on cars. We have, as you know, a 25% tariff on cars. We have a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum.
They're not going to have one. And if we have to do something very harsh, we'll do it. And I'm not doing it for us. I'm doing it for the world.
Well, let me ask Pam, would you answer that question?
Why don't you just say, isn't it wonderful that we're keeping criminals out of our country? Why can't you just say that? Why do you go over and over
Can you just also respond to that question? Because, you know, it's asked by CNN and they always ask it with a slant because they're totally slanting because they don't know what's happening. That's why nobody's watching them. But would you answer that question also?
If they're criminals and if they hit people with baseball bats over their head that happened to be 90 years old. And if if they rape 87 year old women in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Yeah. Yeah. That includes them. Why do you think there's a special category of person there as bad as anybody that comes in? We have bad ones, too. And I'm all for it.
Because we can do things with the president for less money and have great security. And we have a huge prison population. We have a huge number of prisons. And then we have the private prisons. And some are operated well, I guess. And some aren't. But... He does a great job with that. We have others that we're negotiating with too. But no, if it's a homegrown criminal, I have no problem.
Now, we're studying the laws right now. Pam is studying. If we can do that, that's good. And I'm talking about violent people. I'm talking about really bad people. Really bad people. Every bit as bad as the ones coming in. And I made the statement when I heard about this
A long time ago now, four years ago, when I heard that this guy was having open borders, I said, every single criminal from all over the world is going to be dumped into our country. And that's what happened. Jails, the jails of the Congo were emptied out.
Homegrown criminals are next. I said, homegrowns are next. The homegrowns. You've got to build about five more places. Yeah, that's fair. All right.
It's incredible. As of this morning, 99%, 99.1%, to be exact. Why are those numbers not in the media? Well, they get out with the fake news, you know, like CNN. CNN over here doesn't want to put them out because they don't like putting out good numbers. They only like putting out because I think they hate our country, actually. But it's a shame, you're right. Isn't that a great question?
Why doesn't the media, why don't they put out numbers? Yeah, 99%. I mean, it's crazy, right?
The mistake was letting the war happen. If Biden were competent and if Zelensky were competent, and I don't know that he is, we had a rough session with this guy over here. He just kept asking for more and more. That war should have never been allowed to happen. That war, I went four years and Putin wouldn't even bring it up.
And as soon as the election was rigged and I wasn't here, that war started. There was no way that war should have been allowed to happen. And Biden should have stopped it. And you take a look at Putin. I'm not saying anybody's an angel, but I will tell you, I went four years and it wasn't even a question. He would never. And I told him, don't do it. You're not going to do it.
And it was the apple of his eye.
All right. He's always looking to purchase missiles. You know, he's against. Listen, when you start a war, you got to know that you can win the war. You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size.
Very low IQ president. And by the way, I took my cognitive exam as part of my physical exam and I got the highest mark. And one of the doctors said, sir, I've never seen anybody get that kind of, that was the highest mark. I hope you're happy with that. Although they haven't been bugging me too much to take a cognitive, but I did do my physical and it was released. I hope you're all happy with it.
I noticed there's no question, so probably you are. But the cognitive, they said to me, sir, would you like to take a cognitive test? I said, did Biden take one? No. Did anybody take one? No, not too many people took them. I said, what about, what about... Obama, did he take one? No, he didn't take one either. I said, let me be the only one to take one.
But I've actually taken them three times already. I like taking them because they're sort of, they're not too tough for me to take.
As a businessman, some people may look at this and say, have you ever been given a gift worth millions of dollars and then not received anything?
Do you plan to use the plane after you leave office?
Mr. President, what do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you? Why not leave it behind? You're ABC fake news, right? Why not?
The DOJ may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein's clients. Will that really happen?
Here, play this clip. This past week as well, White House Senior Advisor Stephen Miller said. Habeas corpus can be suspended at the time of an invasion, saying the administration's looking at ways to potentially do away with due process for undocumented immigrants. You're an attorney. You're someone who deals with homeland security issues and immigration being there from the Lone Star State.
Is suspending habeas corpus for undocumented immigrants a good idea?
Well, curious to call it an invasion, especially when the administration likes to remind us that the border crossings are, of course, at a historic low. So that'll be part of the legal debate, I suppose.
NBC is reporting this weekend that Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, during three high-level meetings with Putin, didn't use his own interpreter, instead using an interpreter from the Kremlin. Michael McFaul, former U.S. Ambassador to Russia, told them this. He said using the Kremlin's interpreter was, quote, a very bad idea that put Witkoff at a real disadvantage.
McFaul went on to say, I speak Russian and have listened to Kremlin interpreters and U.S. interpreters at the same meeting, and the language is never the same. If that reporting is accurate, why would we agree to that?
We've got reports out on the West Coast that there are hundreds of dock workers now out of work as those ships are not coming in, the ripple effect there hitting the trucking industry and others as well. One union official out there says it's beginning to manifest itself as real loss of jobs and income from our members. So what do you say to those American workers?
Okay.
You noted he is a successful businessman. Do you know if the president has any plans to meet with any of the folks involved with any of the family businesses over there or see any of the sites that are going to be
$45 upfront payment equivalent to $15 per month. New customers on first three-month plan only. Taxes and fees extra. Speeds lower above 40 gigabytes. See details.
We're hearing that Russia wants to force Ukraine to hold new elections in order to sign any kind of a peace deal. Is that something that the U.S. would ever support?
Iran are doing military exercises together. Does that concern you?
Why not?
Make the American right again, huh?
And on steel, sir, are you ruling out then Nippon Steel having a 51% stake or higher? They won't have a majority stake?
Last question. So does this mean, since you used to coach Patrick Mahomes, that you're rooting for the Chiefs at the big game this Sunday?
Talk about the tariffs. And I want to ask you about something you said this week. Got a lot of attention. You were at your cabinet meeting. You said, quote, I'm going to quote what you said. Maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls. And maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally. Are you saying that your tariffs will cause some prices to go up?
When you say they could have $3 instead of $30, are you saying Americans could see empty store shelves?
But you're basically saying there could be some supply shortages because of the tariffs.
The president also told me that next month he's planning a military parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US Army that also falls on his 79th birthday.
A military parade? Yeah, sure.
We have the greatest military in the world.
Your Secretary of State says everyone who's here, citizens and non-citizens, deserve due process. Do you agree, Mr. President? I don't know.
Even given those numbers that you're talking about, don't you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States as president?
Is anyone in your administration right now in contact with El Salvador about returning Abrego Garcia to the United States? I don't know.
That's all I'm saying. Could this minimize the impact to the U.S. with chips should China decide to isolate Taiwan or China decide to take Taiwan?
Play this clip. Are you considering canceling military aid to Ukraine? And can we get a reaction to what the Prime Minister said, that your administration is bringing U.S. worldview in alignment with Moscow's?
Question from Russia saying that your foreign policy is largely in line with their vision. Should that be concerning to Americans?
Should that be concerning to Americans? What do you mean? That Russia says that your administration's foreign policy is quote, largely in line with their vision.
It's not very loud.
a deal that should never have happened i'm always talking about here play this clip uh we and and i want to see it stop yes are you considering canceling military aid to ukraine and can we get a reaction to what the premier said that your administration is bringing u.s world view in alignment with moscow so
All right. Thank you, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Appreciate it.
I have been told by a senior official here that nothing's going to happen with this minerals deal until Zelensky goes in front of cameras and makes an explicit public apology for the way that he behaved himself, behaved in the Oval Office with that meeting.
What do you need to see from President Zelensky to restart these negotiations?
Mr. President, on DEI and the claims that you've made, are you saying this crash was somehow caused and the result of diversity hiring? And what evidence have you seen to support these claims?
Egypt's president and the King of Jordan have both said that they won't take in displaced people from Gaza like you suggested. Is there anything you can do to make them do that? I mean, tariffs against those countries, for example?
Are you hoping to have one-time obey this new facility up and running?
How much do you think it's going to cost?
This is what we're here to do. Nobody's texting war plans. I noticed this morning out came something that doesn't look like war plans. And as a matter of fact, they even changed the Title II attack plans because they know it's not war plans. There's no units, no locations, no routes, no flight paths, no sources, no methods, no classified information. You know who sees war plans? I see them.
Every single day. I looked at him this morning. I looked at attack plans this morning.
Have you been briefed about the soldiers in Lithuania?
President, do you still think that Mr. Zelensky is a dictator?
We are following the measles epidemic every day. I think there's 124 people who have contracted measles at this point. It maintains the county in Texas. Mainly, we're told of the Mennonite community. There are two people who have died. We're watching it, and there are about 20 people hospitalized, mainly for quarantine. We're watching it.
We put out a post on it yesterday, and we're going to continue to follow it. Incidentally, there have been four measles outbreaks this year in this country last year that were 16. So, it's not unusual. We have measles outbreaks every year. You sound a little under the weather yourself right now. I just, I have a permanently bad throat.
So you did run on a platform. You were very straightforward. You said you would pardon these people that were sentenced for January 6th. No, totally. You did. The only criticism or pushback I've seen is about people that were convicted or involved in incidents where they were violent with police. Why did they get a pardon?
No.
Senator, what did Abrego Garcia say that the officials in El Salvador told him about why he was sent to that prison and how long he would be there?
or how long he would be there?
Did he say what he heard from other migrants?
Let's play it. Sir, go ahead, please. Photos have emerged of Senator Ben Holland sipping what appears to be margaritas with Abrego Garcia down in El Salvador. Do you encourage other Democrats to fly down to El Salvador? Meet with this illegal alien who's an accused rapist. I like this guy. See, this is the kind of a reporter we like. There aren't enough of them.
The response from Republicans to your visit is that you care more to meet with Arango Garcia than you do with Rachel Warren, who is the mother of a woman, a Maryland woman who died in your state. What is your response to that criticism specifically?
Are you trying to rebuke him, Mr. President?
There are now two deceased following that shooting at Florida State University. Following and amid that, is there any changes that you want to see to gun legislation? Anything you see broken with gun laws?
What do you mean when you say there will be more to say about it?
Tell us about President Trump's faith. I know that he has said publicly that the assassination attempts did change him and make him closer to God. There are a lot of people in the Christian community when we talk that will say they believe that God had a plan and all of this and spared his life so that he could go on to become president.
How have those assassination attempts and becoming president changed his life? Right.
I'm saying survive in the world because there's germs everywhere. Joe?
Oh, bro! No! Don't do it, Joe! There it goes. One, two, three, four, five.
There is so much junk on this. No, please. You work for every day.
The bottom of our shoes walk around New York City. Yeah! Okay, should we go ahead and call out sick for him next week? Yeah. See, that is the wrong consistency. I'm going to be really honest.
This guy is definitely auditioning for the Pete Hegseth scene. Yes. Pete Hegseth would drop. Okay, Pete Hegseth would have a bagel with cream cheese. He would drop it. It would land upside down, the cream cheese on the floor, and he would pick it up. I'm like, wait, is there any hair on there? Oh, no. It is so gross, and he would just pop it in his mouth.
He said that one time on air.
He's tough. He's like an army guy. You know, he's tough. Tough is one thing, but... Look, I agree.
Have you talked directly to President Xi?
But you're speaking. Has he called you directly? President Xi or reached out to try to facilitate a conversation?
So Americans should prepare for some short-term pain?
But what if the prices go up?
I think Biden is incompetent.
President Trump, first of all, congratulations for the fantastic 24 days of your presidency. Historic and unprecedented decisions that you made, transformational reforms. I'm particularly impressed by the expose on USAID. And I would like you to share with us if you think USAID had a role in election interference in the U.S. in 2020 and Indian elections in 2024.
You previously said that it's a real thing that Trump wants to annex Canada. How serious or urgent would you classify that threat?
But it's destabilizing to suggest it when you've got, for example, King Abdullah, you've got the Egyptians, and you're threatening aid. Whether or not this is just open thought, let's have a wonderful thought about what might happen. It's destabilizing.
You said on X that an example of the fraud that you have cited was $50 million of condoms was sent to Gaza. But after fact check this, apparently Gaza in Mozambique and the program was to protect them against HIV. So can you correct this statement that it wasn't sent to Hamas actually, it was sent to Mozambique, which makes sense why condoms were sent there.
And how can we make sure that all the statements that you said were correct so we can trust what you say?
Are you going to make that policy, U.S. policy, that the U.S. wouldn't defend NATO countries that don't pay?
I know yesterday you spoke with the big three. Did you tell them that no more exemptions were on the way? And what was their reaction?
What was their response?
Do you think Doge and Elon Musk have been moving too quickly?
Across Georgia this morning, a Savannah representative faced more than 10,000 people during a telephone town hall. Yesterday, Congressman Buddy Carter answered their questions, and that was after voters protested outside of Carter's office in Savannah about two weeks ago asking for an in-person meeting.
The Republican representative was on the phone answering questions from voters, and a big topic for a lot of them was Social Security and benefits for older Americans. The congressman says there is no risk of those programs going away.
You mentioned 400 or 500 people. It's probably closer to 750 people, maybe 1,000. It's grown. You can see, really, like you said, as it's laid out, how many people are here marching. You brought your family here today. Why was it important for you all to be here?
You can see just how windy it is out here.
Despite the VA Secretary's promise that benefits will not be affected by job cuts, neighbors tell me they still disagree and feel threatened by recent actions from the White House. What are we going to do? And they're determined to use the power of community to make their voices heard.
The town hall was standing room only, and it was called an empty chair town hall because attendees say Representative Issa refuses to engage with his constituents. Here you can see every seat filled in a venue that seats more than 300 people. Just see all these people.
Tonight we met 93-year-old Betty Reeves. This town hall was organized to give people like her a chance to share their concerns about Representative Issa and the Trump administration. The town hall was put on by a group called Indivisible. It says its mission is to combat the Trump administration's policies.
This week, they plan to hold more events, including a large rally protesting the administration's latest actions that will be held at the Civic Center in downtown San Diego on April 5th. Community members say they plan to continue advocating for their rights. Everybody out there.
American Legion Hall at one point standing room only.
An invitation extended to Congressman Neil Dunn left unclaimed. Neighbors left disappointed as they say they wanted the representative to hear their long list of concerns, which include the Department of Government Efficiency's plans to cut 83,000 jobs from the Department of Veteran Affairs.
13,000 veterans in Leon County, hundreds of them doing different things to get Dunn's attention, including a silent protest bright and early outside City Hall, where the congressman himself hosted a U.S. Military Service Academy Day.
Representative Dunn and his team declined to comment on either of Saturday's movements.
A sensitive subject for many local veterans who fear the idea of reduced benefits, support, and honor, not only for themselves, but for future veterans as well.
Tonight, protests across the country, from Denver to Midtown Manhattan. To right outside the White House, people voicing anger at the Trump administration, including over its recent immigration actions.
The first official calculations of radiation exposure around Hanford in the late 1940s took many by surprise. The levels announced today by a government-appointed study group were high. Radiation is measured in rads, one rad equal to about a dozen chest X-rays. The new study calculates that more than 13,000 people got doses of at least 33 rads, the same as 400 chest X-rays.
And a small number of infants may have gotten doses up to 2,900 rads to their thyroids, mostly from drinking the milk of cattle grazing on radioactive grasses. The government limits nuclear power workers to less than one rad exposure a year, limits weapons workers to five rads.
The Chernobyl nuclear accident in the Soviet Union exposed many to 1,500 rads, but that's still only half as much as the 2,900 rad exposures around Hanford. UCLA radiation specialist Dr. Robert Gale, who treated Chernobyl victims, worries about Hanford.
Tom Bailey farms downwind of Hanford. Many of his relatives have had cancer over the years. Today he was angry at the polluters.
Protesters in Memphis on Saturday say they're concerned about government leaders and their decisions and gathered together to take a stand.
People held signs saying, protect your rights, education is right for all, protect immigrants, and more.
The hands-off movement hopes to remove leaders they believe are making harmful decisions, reverse the damage, and reclaim democracy.
People are hoping for a real change.
If you look at any of the signs, you'll see something, everything from protect DEI, to protect women, to help Ukraine. It's just a little bit of everything all at once.
Cuts happening across the country are being felt here at the University of Tennessee. This afternoon, a higher education fights back rally was held on Rocky Top. Students, as you see there, faculty, campus workers and community members came out to support the cause.
Happening now at UCLA, a group of education, labor, and health activists, including members of several local unions, are gathering for a march and rally. These are live images from Sky 5. The group is protesting the Trump administration's federal cuts that affect research and higher education, as well as Trump's order to dismantle the Department of Education.
Outside the UCSF Mission Bay campus in San Francisco on Tuesday, hundreds of medical professionals rallied, calling on the federal government to kill the cuts.
You could hear the voices of hundreds of protesters echo through the UC San Diego campus Tuesday.
And we will fight back.
It might seem like the packed room at the UP First Congressional District Town Hall had front row access to District Representative Republican Jack Bergman. But at a closer glance, you will see they were talking to an empty chair. That's because Bergman did not attend. They were invited. The receipts are here.
Escanaba resident Teresa Ross organized the town hall.
Bergman hasn't held a town hall in the UP since 2017. In an interview with TV6 last week, Bergman said town halls had become too disruptive, but he shows up for constituents in other ways.
This is the message protesters want Donald Trump Jr. to hear while he's in Birmingham. No justice, no peace. Chanting at and displaying signs for people entering the BJCC to attend the Alabama GOP victory dinner where Donald Trump Jr. attended and spoke.
This corner of Van Ness and O'Farrell taken over by federal workers and allies. The location, deliberate, outside of a Tesla store.
Some new video tonight as demonstrators march to the D.C. headquarters of Elon Musk's SpaceX, protesting what they call his takeover of government, calling it a direct attack on the American people.
This is a look at the march towards SpaceX headquarters in D.C., about two blocks away from the Wilson Plaza in downtown. And these protesters are chanting right now, Elon Musk has got to go.
Mount Spur is blowing its top. On Tuesday, the volcano sent up a cloud of ash more than 11 miles high, turning the summer sky dark.
In South Jersey, a gathering of support for a family facing uncertainty.
Randy Teague is the mayor in Haddon Township, where Jersey Kebab is located.
The phase-out began at OEO's Washington headquarters in January. It's a job which director Howard Phillips has pursued with enthusiasm. Since Phillips took over, many experienced employees have left. A number of projects canceled, and some anti-poverty activities turned over to other departments.
Cleveland's OEO program centers around six multi-services in the city. They receive more than $2 million a year in federal money. The centers house more than 20 agencies funded by the Office of Economic Opportunity. Funds for services like this thrift shop run out at the end of June.
But ever since the administration announced that OEO would be abandoned, morale has been low and people have been leaving.
The changes he has brought about so far are sweeping in scope. Today in Washington, thousands of people gathered to protest the president's actions, a gathering of city mayors and of poor people's organizations. Gordon Graham covered that story.
They came by the busload, more than 10,000 strong. appealed to their senators and representatives, hoping the Congress might somehow save the inner-city anti-poverty programs the president has already begun to shut down.
Yesterday, a federal district judge in Washington told the Nixon administration that it could not legally dismantle the Office of Economic Opportunity, and the judge ordered the administration to stop doing it. The White House said today that the ruling is being studied and that the law will be obeyed.
But the man who's doing the dismembering, Howard Phillips, says the ruling means only that he may have to work a little longer.
And in his first reaction last night, he made clear he does not believe the court decision will save the agency.
The employees' union has been fighting the dismantlement, and today, still worried but a bit more optimistic, staffers went next door to a theater to hear their lawyer talk about Phillips' hardline reaction and the agency's future.
The employees' big hope is that Congress, with support from the courts, will now insist OEO be retained. Paul Duke, NBC News, Washington.
Happening right now, North Texas U.S. postal workers are rallying against what they say is the most serious threat in their 250-year history. It's in response to the Trump administration looking to privatize the postal service.
On Iowa, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley's 99-county tour turned tumultuous this afternoon.
Questions ranged from how Elon Musk is wielding so much power to tariffs and everything in between. Senator Grassley acknowledged the anger directed at the Trump administration, as well as members of the crowd who supported his sweeping changes.
At times, questions to Senator Chuck Grassley boiled over at a boardroom in the public library in Dysart. Many of the questions focused on the work of the new Department of Government Efficiency and Elon Musk's impact on shrinking the size of the government. I want to make it very clear that Musk has no power because...
The senator says he's holding the town hall despite the Republican National Committee advising congressional Republicans to stop holding town halls because of how tumultuous the meetings have been across the country. But critics pointed to how even his own office didn't promote this event.
To show support for the federal workers in the area, many of whom have recently been fired by the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, over 100 Ravalli County residents showed up to Hamilton City Council committee meeting, which had to be moved to the middle school to fit the amount of people who attended.
The message from those who showed up was clear, a discontentment with the actions being taken by the Trump administration.
As for Hamilton City Council, they expressed their willingness to take action in whatever way they could help to support the federal workers in the Hamilton and surrounding area.
After two separate incidents on MSU Mankato's campus over the past couple weeks, Mavericks for Change, alongside other student groups, demonstrated on campus Wednesday. The first incident saw a still unidentified student detained by ICE, and another saw five international students have their visas revoked unexpectedly.
Tonight, we're learning more about a cyber attack forcing the shutdown of one of the main pipelines supplying gas and diesel fuel to the East Coast. You can see hundreds of cars here, and this is just one gas station. Drivers here tell me they're waiting up to an hour. That's where the line starts. We can't even see where it ends.
The lines for gas getting longer from the Carolinas down to Florida. Panicked drivers, overwhelming gas stations.
That's all I, that's my life. Where are my kids? Can you just tell us, do you have any idea where your son is? Or do you have any guess where he might be?
Can you tell us how this is, how are you dealing with all this?
Obviously, you're cooperating with the police, trying to do everything you can. What would you say about your efforts to find your son?
if someone please come ho out that both Andrew and happened to A. J. They we for his disappearance.
Well, George, like you said, investigators are calling this a murder-suicide. They say Sonny Schumacher killed his teenage son, Gunner, in the apartment they shared in Essex. The 14-year-old, a student at Essex High School. STATE CRIME INVESTIGATORS HEAD INTO A SECOND FLOOR APARTMENT AT 8 CARMICHAEL STREET IN ESSEX.
INSIDE ARE THE BODIES OF 49-YEAR-OLD LUDWIG SCHUMACHER AND HIS SON, 14-YEAR-OLD GUNNER.
Ludwig, known as Sonny, is seen here in a 2008 interview with WPTZ. He was a veteran Vermont Air Guardsman who left with a rank of colonel.
POLICE ALLEGED SONNY KILLED HIS SON, THE METHOD THOUGH NOT RELEASED. THEY THEN SAY HE HANGED HIMSELF IN THE APARTMENT. BOTH BODIES DISCOVERED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON BY A FRIEND. INVESTIGATORS HAVE NOT RELEASED A MOTIVE, BUT SAY SONNY WAS GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE AND HIS SON LIVED WITH HIM PART TIME.
WDRB has been digging into Tiffany Lucas background to find out more about her. We learned that she was once a business owner whom we interviewed actually in 2016. She had just opened Miss Tiff's one stop shop convenience store on West Broadway. We spoke with her seven years ago about the impact as a young entrepreneur after Walmart pulled its plan to open a store in that same area.
Business records show her store closed in 2017.
Historically, we do know that there have been times where Black men... had been unfairly accused of things and that the stereotype of the Black man, especially, you know, from slavery and after had been of kind of an over-sexualized brute. And so the hurt from that, I think has never really been kind of fixed.
Sean Diddy Combs was arrested late Monday night in New York and indicted on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Can you say unequivocally that further down the line there won't be any cuts to Medicaid programs?
Thanks, Caroline. Just real quick, you mentioned the inflation executive order the President signed, but egg prices have skyrocketed since President Trump took office. So what specifically is he doing to lower those costs for Americans?
Speaker, do you have the votes? How much work are you going to have to do out there on the floor to make sure you can actually get there?
You think you've already blocked it down?
The FBI director, Kash Patel, informed Republican senators that it would be an individual named as the deputy who was a special agent currently at the FBI. And of course, Mr. Bongino is not. What was the reason for naming Mr. Bongino to this position? And Was Mr. Patel not correct in making that assurance to those senators? MS.
What's that? Death looms. There are death threats because of that pen.
What?
My question relates to Elon Musk has said that he made the offer to bring you guys back earlier and that it was denied. My first question is, is that true? And if so, what would that have looked like? Was he offering to make another flight, push seats on another flight? Could you give us some background there?
Mr. President, he talks about some of the violence that's been going on around the country at dealerships. Some say they should be labeled domestic terrorists.
Greenland and the Panama Canal, so forth. Can you assure the world that as you try to get control of these areas, you are not going to use military or economic coercion? No. Can you tell us a little bit about what your plan is? Are you going to negotiate a new treaty? Are you going to ask the Canadians to hold the vote? What is the strategy?
$57,000.
No, I think they heard him loud and clear. Better get done by the inaugural.
It gets this broader sense that when people like Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg talk about free speech, Everybody wants free speech, but it oftentimes seems that these tech CEOs actually are favoring or preferring a certain kind of speech, right? They're favoring their own speech or their own political preferences and not the actual entire user or the community's speech.
You know, the changes announced by Meta today are very much a MAGA makeover, a pro-Trump makeover, and that's gonna win Meta some conservative users, but it may repel some liberals. That's the same thing we've seen happen on Elon Musk's ex. He's turned into more of a right-wing platform where he's pro-free speech when it's really pro-Musk or pro-Trump speech.
Good to see you. Can you comment on the drones that are flying around New Jersey ports? It seems like the American people have a big disc. The government knows what is happening.
And you proved me wrong. I challenge you today if you don't like what I'm about to say. California has been under unmitigated Democrat 100% power control. Democrat. Supermajority. What does that mean, supermajority? It means nobody can oppose their decision making. And now you've got it. You've got a situation where...
A catastrophe came and the billions of dollars that you and I gave was diverted to other woke, stupid Democrat projects. That's not hyperbole. It is a fact. You don't like it, change your party. If you don't like it, change different. But I'm telling you right now, I'm upset and I'm angry and it's the right kind of anger. I'm telling you this right now. When you open up
A fire hydrant and nothing comes out. And then Joe Biden says, it's because we need electricity. It was turned off for the fire hydrant to turn on. In some cases that might be true. If the fire hydrants are on top of a mountain, you need a motor to drive the water up. That's extremely rare and it wasn't the case in these fires.
Bad management, horrific politicians who took your money and took trips like... Karen Bass, the mayor of L.A., she decided to go to Africa the week of the fires to be on a little trip that you paid for. She was really put out when she was told to come home. It didn't look bad. I mean, it didn't look good, but it looked very bad.
You've got Gavin Newsom flying down here and then at a command center laughing it up with some people and it's caught on tape while he spends... Nine point so many millions of probably your dollars to buy himself a new house.
How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.
What is the difference in comparison to the last inauguration or previous inauguration?
For the next four months, this is what you'll be seeing. On Saturday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, partnering with Ashford, got the approval to begin the next phase of the recovery process. The next two missions we're going to start on, one of them which is right behind us here, which is a critical mission and tremendously challenging of getting the waterway debris out of this stream.
Operation Waterway Debris Removal.
Right now, it tells us that all 17 of these new criminal aliens they sent to El Salvador last night are members of Trendy Aragua or MS-13, and many of them are convicted murderers, rapists, and pedophiles. Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele posted a video of the new criminal aliens arriving in El Salvador last night and being transferred into the now notorious mega prison known as Seacott.
The White House tells us they had all been at Guantanamo Bay before the removal to El Salvador, and they include seven alleged trendy Aragua gang members and multiple members of MS-13. We're told all of them have previous criminal histories, including multiple convictions for murders, rapes, sexual assaults, and sex crimes against children.
President Trump put out a Truth Social today saying that everybody in the cabinet was happy with you. I just wondered if that's if you had heard otherwise and if you had heard anything about members of the cabinet who weren't happy with the way things were going. And if so, what are you doing to address those dissatisfaction? President Trump Let the cabinet speak just for a second.
government employees so far appear to have responded to your request for what they've been doing over the past week. Is there a timeline in place for next moves for people being fired and when can the American people expect to see results of that?
And so what is happening as we speak is limited to those with criminal records?
Let me just make sure that I understand what you're saying, because at first you said that the first targets are those with criminal records. But you are also saying that those who are undocumented in the U.S., also who don't have criminal records, people who are working in their communities, maybe even have spouses who are American citizens, they could be swept up with ICE today as well?
Romaposa brought his best diplomatic self to this meeting, but nothing could have prepared him for this multimedia ambush that President Trump laid out with video, with printed out news stories. This was a laundry list of debunked conspiracy theories. Some South Africans are telling me this is AfriForum propaganda.
AfriForum is a white Africana lobby group that's considered a white nationalist organization by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Everything, almost everything that President Trump said in the Oval Office is not true, was inaccurate, has been repeatedly debunked.
Representative Jeff Van Drew, who is a Republican from New Jersey, was just on the air saying that Iran launched a mothership probably about a month ago that contains these drones and that that mothership is off the coast of the east coast of the United States. Is there any truth to that?
Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor? Have you nothing to say today? Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today? Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent. Are you considering your position?
Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster? No apology for them? Do you think you should have been visiting Ghana while this was unfolding back home?
I can believe it.
Two of the roommates who spoke with me today but didn't want to show their faces, they say they were in court as victims last Friday. They say they heard Judge Dugan instruct Flores Ruiz and his lawyer to go to a certain door and said that they needed to speak with ICE. You heard her say that Eduardo needed to go speak with ICE.
Once Flores Luriz went to the door, they say they never saw him again, say they saw his lawyer later crying. The criminal complaint states he hit one of them 30 times, later grabbing him by the throat, it states, for about six seconds while punching with his offhand. The pair went to the hospital as well, showing us pictures of one of them in a hospital bed today.
One of the reasons, Derek, why they didn't want to show their faces, they say this afternoon they're scared to leave their home because of retaliation from Eduardo Flores Ruiz and his friends. Investigative reporter James Stratton in the newsroom for us.
A brand-new exclusive CNN poll that paints a brutal reality for Democrats as they struggle to mount a unified opposition to President Trump. Americans' favorable views of the Democratic Party's brand are at a record low, just 29 percent. That's compared to 36 percent for Republicans. It is the lowest ever recorded for Democrats in CNN polling, going back more than 30 years.
As you can see, the party's number is dropping a staggering 20 points in just four years. The CNN SRSR's poll also found 57% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters are more interested in seeing their party leaders stop the GOP agenda, compared to 42% who are more interested in cutting bipartisan deals.
First of all, the mood of the country, this really jumped out. We asked folks, is it on the right direction or the wrong direction? That 44% who say right direction, that's up since November. And if that doesn't seem like a lot, the last time it cracked 40%, you got to go back to 2012. The last time it actually hit 44 or higher, January of 2004.
So a lot of this is Republicans, but independents, that number is also up since the election on the direction of the country.
Is it a crime to insult somebody in public? Yes.
And it's a crime to insult them online as well? Yes.
17-year-old Nikita Kasip already charged with the chilling double murder of his Wisconsin parents now in the FBI's crosshairs. Four investigators believe plotting to kill President Donald Trump, according to newly unsealed federal court documents.
This FBI affidavit saying authorities found in the teen's phone a manifesto calling for the assassination of the president of the United States in order to foment a political revolution and promote white supremacy, along with materials linking him to a neo-Nazi extremist group.
Investigators writing Kasap in messages with someone said he planned to use a drone in the attack that would drop a bomb with nuts, bolts, needles and then flee to Ukraine. The affidavit stating Kasap had paid for, at least in part, a drone and explosives and was communicating with someone with a Ukrainian number. It did not say where or when he allegedly planned to target the president.
This after, back in late February, local authorities during a welfare check found the teen's parents shot to death in the family home. The affidavit saying the couple had been dead for roughly two weeks and Cassip living in the home with their bodies, then fleeing before he was arrested in Kansas.
Investigators writing the killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan.
Such a clear trend among the American public. So transgender female athletes in women's sports, only 18% of the country says that they should be, in fact, allowed to participate in women's sports. Compare this to the opposition. I mean, my goodness gracious, 79%.
You rarely get 79% of the country to agree on anything, but they do, in fact, agree on the idea of opposing transgender female athletes in women's sports.
the US Secret Service has shot a man near the White House in Washington DC that's according to our colleagues at NBC News in the States it happened shortly after midnight after an armed confrontation with law enforcement according to the Secret Service there they say local police had reported what they described as a suicidal individual who had possibly traveled to Washington DC from Indiana.
They later located a vehicle and spotted a person on foot who matched the description. They then brandished a firearm, the report says, and an armed confrontation ensued during which shots were fired by Secret Service personnel, they've confirmed.
It's kind of impressive.
Is there a Trump put, though? Is there a pain in the market at some point? You're unwilling to tolerate this idea of a Trump put? Is there a threshold?
Republicans on the Russia-Ukraine war, look at this, want a quick end of the war, but Russia still keeps the captured land from Ukraine. Look at this, look at the majority of Republicans, 74%, three quarters of Republicans near unanimity on that particular subject compared to just 25% who say that they support Ukraine's fight, even if it means a longer lasting war.
The bottom line is this, is it's very clear Very, very clear that Republicans want an end to this war. They are willing for Ukraine to give up that land that Russia currently has. They do not want this war extended. And I think what we saw yesterday in the White House was a clear illustration of that Republican point of view, Donald Trump representing Republicans well on this issue.
Check this out. Tom Holman showed up in Chicago and within 24 hours found a convicted sex offender who has been living in our city since 2009, flouting the sex offender registry. If he can do this, why can't you?
Dozens of people arrested outside immigration court in Manhattan tonight, hours after ICE agents detained several people in its field office. This comes a week after a Bronx high school student was arrested by ICE. Ali Bauman has more. be placed under arrest on the charge of disorderly conduct.
You said this was this great new message, and I got bored. Yeah.
do you have concerns that that's anything that the democrats will be able to use to to run against those republicans no because of it no i don't because the videos you saw the town halls were for paid protesters in many of those places these are democrats who went to the events early and filled up the seats if you would be if the videos that pan are they were all the protesters that mister speaker man what do you know what i don't think we'd acknowledge they were his constituents
One Republican acknowledged they were constituents. That's fantastic, okay, but they had Democrats come and fill the seats early, all right? This is an old playbook that they pulled out and ran, and it made it look like that what is happening in Washington is unpopular. But I'm gonna tell you, Caitlin, the American people are behind what's happening.
The Doge efforts is pulling over 80% right now. They want us to find efficiencies in the federal government. They want the government to be smaller and leaner and more accountable to the taxpayers. And that's what these efforts are all about. That's what the Republican Party is about. That's what our commitment is to do, to make government work better for the people.
This is a restoration of common sense above everything else. And I think the American people are going to remain in favor of what's happening here.
to persuade you not to put tariffs on the UK?
Earlier today, you told me that you believe that foreign countries pay tariffs, but Americans who are concerned about higher prices believe, as most people do, that they're paid by consumers and importers when they import things into this country. Can you explain how you came to this belief that foreign governments are paying tariffs?
And for the Prime Minister, did you discuss with President Trump his repeated statements of desire to annex Canada? And has the King expressed any concern over the President's apparent desire to remove one of his realms from his control?
