Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Um, but it's interesting because like for a while I thought I, for me to heal and to move on from this and to begin to be myself again, I thought that I needed justice to, to move on.
But then there was one particular day where I got thrown a test of like, you know, how healed are you Ruben?
Um, that made me think that actually maybe I don't.
And so a few months go by after the retrial, and there's a free Palestine march in the city, which I go and attend on my own.
And there's a sea of like hundreds of thousands of people there, and I'm there by myself, but straight away I...
I recognized someone, not someone from like my personal regular life.
I'd only seen this bloke in the courtroom and he's just like six foot two, bushy beard, mid forties man.
And I recognize him because he was one of the defense lawyers supporting my perpetrator.
And here he was just like in casual clothes, standing on the street with his wife by his side and with his young son, like on his shoulders, holding like a free Palestine sign.
And I just thought to myself, this is a fucked up test.
And I started like grappling with myself.
I was like, should I say something?
Like, what do I say?
Do I even need to say something?
Like, who do I need to prove this to right now?
But then one of my favorite quotes that I try to live by is, live your life like it's a movie, which prompts me to think at any sort of juncture, like, Ruben, what is the audience kind of crying out for you to do at this moment in time?
It depends what the genre is.
Thriller, yes.
And I thought, well, Ruben, the audience is crying out for you to go up and approach this guy.
