They want you to play well, and they want to see your best effort.
And then going out there and playing in a place like Fenway Park is, you know, it's a dream.
But also to have that immediate feedback where you're playing in front of 40,000 fans every single night
is completely different than being in Milwaukee where you're leading the division and the stadium's half full on a Wednesday.
So being able to understand where it's coming from and all it has to boil down to is your effort, and that's all anybody wants to see here in Boston, that is something that guys see and they start to understand that, and then they gravitate towards becoming a Red Sox.
Well, Buster Posey apparently owns me, so I didn't really.

But back to your point about like when you're facing hitters, you're looking at him as like, oh, wow, this guy owns me or he's a great hitter or whatever.
Is he going to be a Hall of Famer?
It's more so, okay, I have to get this guy out.

And then when you look back on it, you know, I've done very well against guys who are in the Hall of Fame.
So I think that should bode well in six years for my vote.
