Sometimes these prospect guys are wrong and very wrong.
But if that's what you believe and the Sharks draft for position at number two and take a defenseman and that leaves McKenna or Stenberg
At number three for the Canucks, again, if you believe that they are the two best players, even though they are wingers, you take one of them.
Because the Canucks need impact players, game changers, play drivers, guys that can make things happen out there.
You're not going to win a Stanley Cup without impact players.
I mean, it seems obvious, but I don't think there is a single player
Franchise player in the Canucks system right now.
Prove me wrong, Zeev Booyam.
Prove me wrong, Kootz.
Prove me wrong, kids.
Prove me wrong.
It's a high bar.
And this is where you're going to get these franchise-changing players for the most part.
They're in the top three, top four, top five picks.
The Sedins went 2-3, right?
Trevor Linden went number two.
So I'd be really careful about trading out of a franchise player, even if you think there are still good players in the top 10.
That's just my opinion, but I'm not a guy that can tell you, like,
are McKenna and Stenberg in this special category all by themselves?
Because I don't watch college hockey.
