We're going to trade McDavid today.
The owner would be like, ah, you're fired.
Yeah, we just talked about DeBrusque yesterday, and...
You know, I wondered what kind of value he has on the open market in a situation where the unrestricted free agent market is not very impressive.
And we are talking about a guy who, yes, played for a terrible team, but managed to score 51 goals combined over the last two seasons.
And we read some of the players that also have 51 goals over the last two seasons, and they're pretty important players.
But, you know, I don't think anyone thinks of Jake Dabrowski as a guy who's going to drive play or even, like, be a core member of your team.
He is a good complementary player that needs to play with β
good players but he can put the puck in the net especially in front of the net on the power play we saw how many power play goals he scored this year and if there is a team out there that needs a net front guy on the power play like he's not going to be a guy that you're like oh he's going to be awesome on the power play no he's going to be in front of the net and he's going to tip home pucks and he's going to he's got great hands and he can finish off opportunities
And, you know, I'm just thinking about the Senators team, although it's been reported that multiple teams are interested in Jake DeBras.
The Sens make a ton of sense because I think they need to either β
bid adieu to Claude Giroux or at least reduce his role like he's not a top six guy he's playing a lot anymore he's at in his career and um so so the Sens are a team that are you know not looking to take a step back they saw that they're lacking they're a good enough team to get into the playoffs and you know they are they're they're a good team but Carolina handled them
And actually, one of the things in the playoffs was like the power play.
I was just going to say.
Everyone remembers that five on three.
So during the regular season, though, their power play was actually pretty good.
Yeah.
You know, I was struck by something that Dodd and Drance were talking about yesterday.
All right.
For a team in a rebuild, the Canucks have actually quite a few players under contract for next season.
