2017-2018 took them eight years.

eight years, picking in the top 10, seven times, top three, three times.

Like this is going to take some time, but it's going to take good drafting, good developing, good people.

And these guys are, like you said, they've started off on the right foot.

No question.

I want to say one thing first, that this coaching changes every year has got to stop.

Canucks are looking at their fifth coach in five years.

Hoaglander is looking at his fifth coach in the last seven years.

There is a different message every year for that kid.

No wonder he can't string back-to-back good years.

And I'm not even counting the two or three different coaches Hoaglander had in Abbotsford.

They need to hire a coaching staff that lasts more than 24 months.

Five coaches in five years does not help you land free agents on July 1st.

I talked with a big-name agent this week, and he told me very simply, Vancouver's got a long way to go.

to become a destination for free agents again.

Right now, his clients are not telling him, get me to Vancouver.

Stability helps.

Coaching changes every year is not stability.

It hurts your franchise in so many ways.
