This is not a hockey season only podcast.
We're here all year round because really hockey news never really stops, even in the off season.
So be sure you are subscribed.
So with the resumption of NHL action coming up this week, believe it or not, and the ice at Brassard full of practice action, the Canadians now find themselves in that rather intense part of the season where pretty much every game starts to feel a lot heavier.
The standings are going to start tightening up an awful lot.
The margin for error is all but gone.
Um, and, and it's also that part where you start to realize that you're not just watching games, you're doing math every single night, you know, okay, how does, and not just for Habs games, but for other teams within the division and how they did and doing the math and what's the playoff odds.
Um, yeah.
What makes this part of the season really even more fascinating is that it's not just one storyline that's driving things.
It's not just the numbers game.
You've also got the schedule to contend with.
You've got injuries.
And whether it's new injuries or people returning from injuries to contend with.
And then there's the never ending questions about sustainability of the roster, depth of the roster.
Can this group actually maintain their momentum when the pressure starts ramping up?
So what we want to do today is we want to unpack all of that and pretty much just get you ready for when the Habs drop the puck again on Thursday night.
Get you ready for what's really going to start to feel like a rapid fire end to the season.
There's going to be things coming at you in really quick succession over the next few weeks.
And we want to explore whether or not the Habs can navigate their way through it all and still come out with a solid shot
The Atlantic Division, though, is really competitive.
