Um, and the way the salary cap, um, tends to work, uh, in the NHL these days is yes, you pay your star players, you pay them well.
Um, and the bottom six is where you have to, um, you find your bargains.
Um, that's where you have a lot of your, your young talent, uh, who are paid, uh,
either entry-level contracts or the league minimum.
And right now, you see in the bottom six, you see a lot of big numbers for Gallagher, for Phil Deneau, for Josh Anderson.
And that's not how it works.
The Canadians, yes, are in a good cap position now, but they're not going to be able to continue to do this.
So what about prospects?
You're supposed to be able to dip into Laval and bring up prospects that are ready.

I think that as we preached, don't get attached to the replacements because this roster is going to change.
The Canadians management is going to have to make tough decisions.
