So this is going to be an interesting matchup for the next few years because these are two skilled, fast teams to watch.
Well, they can't have another week where they win one game during the week.
Especially the way the East is going, and you look at some of the runs of these teams, and Tampa just ran off a string of 11 wins or so, and we talked about Buffalo and Detroit.
It's things are changing.
So it wasn't a great week for Montreal, but I still picked three stars that I thought that had contributed very well.
Ivan Demidov is at the top this week, the number one star.
He had four points in four games.
He had three even strength points, most on the team overall.
tied with Juraj Slavkovski, and he reached the 40-game plateau and the first rookie to do that this season.
Cole Caulfield was in a bit of a goal-scoring drought and had gone, I think it was four games without scoring a goal.
He picked up a goal this week, added two assists,
for three points.
He had a whopping 17 shots on goal in those four games.
Looks like he was going for that goal.
The only other Canadian who was double-digit in shots this week was Oliver Kapanen.
And of course, we know it's that second line that's been driving most of the offense for Montreal.
My third star is Noah Dobson.
He had two points in four games and is playing about 23 and a half minutes on average in those four games.
For sure.
Nick Suzuki, four points for him.
