So I'm now responsible for the Redway, which is our overarching sustainability program.
So as with most sustainability programs, three pillars, we call it, obviously we call it Red because it's Liverpool, why wouldn't we call it any other color?
But in reality, it's how we as a football club take on our responsibility to make the world a better place.
That sounds really cheesy, but I always cringe when I hear myself say it back.
But you know what, generally we do believe in that, both personally and professionally.
The red way is sort of split into those three pillars.
So you've got people, which is everything around diverse inclusion.
So it's how we as a club
show up at events like Black History Month at Pride which obviously the Anfield Rap has supported for many many years how we are representative of the diverse communities that we operate within and then really how we take on our leadership position like how do we go out and speak to and talk on sort of global stages sort of across the UK across the world and really champion what Liverpool Football Club really stands for
the planet pillar is everything around our environmental commitment so hopefully what people would expect to see around what we do around circularity around water around food around emissions reductions which can be quite a dry topic but we do always try and talk to it in a livable setting and finally the communities pillar so you've got a really exciting mix there you've obviously got the incredible work
with the LFC Foundation, which you're really familiar with.
That would be amazing work that Matt and his team does.
And then the other half of that is our commercial partners.
So I do a lot of work with our commercial partners and we've got targets to engage 100% of our commercial partners in what we do.
Yeah, and that's a big thing for me as well, both as a supporter, but obviously as an employee of the Football Club, I almost think of it as if, not that we'd ever do this for obvious reasons, but if football didn't exist,
What do people think of Liverpool, the football club?
We're not the football, obviously.
And that's really interesting to me because like, what's our reputation?
What do people think we'll do?
How do you think we'll act in certain situations?
