And my two cousins, who are like sisters to me, obviously are half Greek, and they felt so seen by the story that you brought to screen.

To me, it was so specific to my life and my upbringing.
I loved that we could look at our own cultural heritage and be able to embrace it and love it and also understand that it may not apply to everybody.
And yet, if you're with somebody who is not from that same cultural heritage, that it might seem like really outside the box for them.
