So I represent one of the few congressional districts that's wholly contained within one county. I represent about half the Bronx. So my district is home to the New York Yankees. And it's really known for its institutions. We have the New York Botanical Garden. We have the Bronx Zoo. At Fordham University, the largest employer in the Bronx is the Montefiore Health System. Mm-hmm.

It is remarkable for its diversity, and I have a special reverence for Arthur Abbey, Little Italy, There may be no community in New York City that has a greater concentration of businesses that have been owned by the same family for more than 100 years. So it's one of the most, I would argue it's the best congressional district in America. But of course, I have a bias.

It's about 51 members, one of whom is the Speaker, and each member of the City Council represents about 160,000 to 170,000 people.

I had not only my own personal staff, but the Investigations and Oversight Division of the City Council reported to my committee. So it was great preparation for my role in Congress because I feel like as a former city council member,
