Welcome to the first baseball as an important show of the season.
Very exciting.
How's it going, Allison?
Allison, thank you for the call.
We're going to take a quick break.
But I think that one of the things that I'll say, and Gordo, you had the great stat about a team not making the World Series without a 30 home run hitter since 2016.
I would say another one, the Texas Rangers thing from last year.
And I know it's not apples to apples across the board, but the Texas Rangers had the best ERA in baseball.
They had one of the best defenses in baseball, and they went 81-81.
And the other problem is that, to your point, you get to the postseason, we know what plays.
We know what plays.
Home runs play.
And I think that what it does, if you aren't able to help home runs –
that it puts pressure on everybody.
Like that was one of the quotes I didn't like from Breslow at the Rangers-Suarez press conference, which was like, you know, if you've got good pitching, you can stay in every game.
Well, what it also does, if you don't have the offense, you put more stress on all those pitchers all the time.
Like that's not necessarily a great way to live life.
No, and it puts a lot of pressure on guys to stay healthy too.
I know they've got good starting pitching depth, but if Crochet, if Suarez, if Sonny Gray, if any of those guys goes down at the wrong time, then where are you?
All right, 617-779-7937.
