Once signed, it'll pave the way for the free trade of goods between the EU and India, and it could be followed up with a security and defense partnership between the two sides as well.

While it won't be signed for months, the deal follows the EU-South America Mercosur deal and reflects trade shifts amid American protectionism under President Trump.

The German newspaper Handelsblatt reports that Musk's AI chatbot Grok will be investigated for violating the EU's Digital Services Act.

The proceedings aim to force Musk to withdraw his company's chatbot from the European market.

A study by the Center for Countering Digital Hate analyzed a sample of posts on Grok's ex-handle.

It found that Grok created an estimated 3 million sexualized images over a span of 11 days from the end of December into January.

including 23,000 sexualized images of children.

In an extraordinary escalation of President Trump's pursuit of Greenland, he announced he'd impose 10 percent tariffs starting in February on goods from a handful of European countries, including France, the U.K., and Germany, Europe's largest economy.

Those tariffs would increase to 25 percent if an agreement on Greenland is not reached by June.

Following an emergency meeting of EU leaders, the bloc is preparing its so-called trade bazooka, mechanisms that will block access to EU markets for American companies and impose export controls on their products, among a broader list of countermeasures.

This trade defense was originally made with China in mind, not allies like the U.S., but given the serious nature of the threat from the Trump administration, EU leaders are now taking steps to implement the program.

Zelensky has made it clear his country is willing to compromise on certain issues, including giving up on hopes that Ukraine joins NATO.

He said he'd be willing to consider that if Ukraine won strong security guarantees from the United States to prevent Russia from invading again after a peace deal would be reached.

Zelensky said Ukraine does not want to cede any territory it now controls.
