But it's interesting to think of where we are now, especially with the politics going on in the landscape all the time.
You know, there's like even with our government recently, there's been a lot of issues with how farms are taxed and all of this kind of stuff.
the way that people are respected in terms of like the contribution they're making in terms of looking after the land and the way that like a lot of innovation and computers have taken over people's interest and it seems to be it's forgotten in a way so I think it's quite beautiful to make paintings of these spaces I'm excited doing them and I think hopefully they stand out a bit more there's a lot of painters in the world now
What other artists were you looking at when you were growing up?
And he also had a really incredible discipline.
But there's a young artist I know called George Wilson, and she wrote to him because she lived in Camden when she was growing up.
I think she lived near Mornington Crescent or somewhere.
And she sent him a letter because she found out the address of where he lived or whatever.
And he wrote back to her and apparently just said, sometimes it's best not to meet your heroes.
