I don't want to claim that I'm a prophet, but in the book Bowling Alone, which was written almost 30 years ago, 25 to 30 years ago, I talked about the decline in these connections, decline in what I called social capital. And I said, gosh, if this continues, it's going to be bad for American democracy. We're going to have more polarized politics and so on. That was 30 years ago.
