Uh, I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the greatest two months of my life.
Uh, the Nick playoff run and obviously, you know, had the 13 game winning streak in the playoffs and, and then, you know, see them when their first title in my lifetime, you know, last one coming in 1973.
Uh, so yeah, it was, uh, it was pretty special, even though baseball often interfered with me watching the games.
Uh, I still caught as much as I could.
I think so.
I think...
The reason for that, well, the reasons for that, the pitching has stabilized.
The rotation and the bullpen both were real trouble spots early in the year.
Even in April when the Astros' offense was scoring a lot of runs, they still weren't winning a ton of games because their pitching was giving up almost as many as the offense was scoring.
So that's stabilized, particularly in the bullpen.
But part of the reason the bullpen stabilizes, the rotation has stabilized
now consistently gotten to a point where they're rarely getting, you know, five or six innings.
So that makes, that makes the bullpen better as well.
So I think we're starting to see things stabilized, certainly on the pitching side.
And I think that has really, really helped this ball club.
Yeah, I mean, and that's what the Astros have needed.
They've needed guys to step up.
I mean, everyone in their opening day rotation has been on the I.O.
with the exception of Mike Burrows, who got moved to the bullpen this last time around.
So, although he's going to be back in the rotation for the final game on Wednesday in Toronto.
