I think the fact that Burroughs has also pitched out of the bullpen before with Pittsburgh last year, I think also is something that factors in because you know that he can do it and that he has done it in the past.
But I mean, I think the Astros are still excited about what Burroughs brings to the table.
He has great stuff.
It really doesn't make sense with the stuff that he has for him to have the results that he's had.
So, you know, that's something that they have to figure out, that Burroughs has to figure out.
But yeah, I mean, I think given where the Astros are with guys coming back and where Burroughs has been this season, I mean, how can he not be pitching for his job every time he goes out there?
Well, you know, you talk to the Astros people about Lambert, and they will all tell you he just needed to get out of Colorado.
You know, with the altitude being what it is.
I mean, you talk about a guy who was a second-round pick.
So, I mean, there was always talent there.
And I think the thing about Lambert with his stuff, there's nothing that, like, stands out, but everything is just solid.
It's a solid fastball, solid breaking balls.
Solid changeup.
And because he has a bunch of different weapons that are all good pitches, even if none of them are particularly great pitches, he can kind of pitch to any sort of game plan.
So, you know, whether it means he needs to elevate the fastball, whether he needs to throw breaking balls off the plate to try and get a right-handed hitter to chase.
He can do all of those things.
you know, whatever a game plan calls for.
And I think that's what makes him valuable.
And the fact that he's been around for a little while now, he, you know, he has a pretty good understanding of how to pitch and what he needs to do to be effective.
So that's just, that's really made him a lot better.
