And how long do you stay up there?

I'm slightly uneasy with heights, but I'm just wondering if I was invited one day whether I could dare say yes.

For those who don't know this area, how big is the Daintree Forest?

That's a size, yes.

And what's its health like?

Because you're involved with restoration.

And what do you do to restore a forest on that scale?

Bringing the creatures back, which creatures?

Cassowaries and so on?

Vertebrates including lizards and so on.

So what have you done so far?

What plantings and so on?

Yeah, I can imagine.

The smaller things you don't notice particularly.

The fungi, the way you restore earth.

Yeah.

Have you heard of the experiment involving young people

say, primary school kids in the Miyawaki forests, which are being pioneered in Murdoch University in Perth.

And they go to various areas, which are sort of abandoned car parks or whatever, taught how to restore the earth as well.

I don't know about termites, but they're taught the complexity of what's down there in what's called dirt, and no longer dirt, it's soil.
