When Nintendo originally showed the Switch 2 during its reveal video in January, it confirmed the presence of an extra button on the right Joy-Con. The Button had previously been described as a C-Button in various leaks, many of which came from third-party peripheral manufacturers.

However, in Nintendo's official video, the button has no markings on it whatsoever, even though previously leaked renders showed a letter C. This new Nintendo Today promotional image appears to confirm that the button does indeed have a C on it, as this is the first time Nintendo has posted an image of the Switch 2 with this marking on the button.

It's likely that the use of this image was accidental because Nintendo is set to broadcast a Nintendo Direct presentation next week dedicated entirely to the Switch 2. I'm going to skip a little ahead in the article. And I'll also throw in there... Maybe it's a cast button. I've seen that.

And now the app is for Nintendo Switch 2. It's like, ah, shit. That would be awesome. You press a button and it's like a calendar. It could be the calendar inside of the Nintendo Switch. Who doesn't need a good calendar in their Switch? Yeah, the pitch that I had and I've seen it everywhere is the cast, right? It's not real, right?

It's not a real thing that's going to happen because that is such a technological feat. What do you mean by cast?

So the idea in my mind would be that I have my, my switch in handheld mode, right? And I'm like, I don't want to get up and I don't want to have to put it into the dock, press the button, connects to the dock and I can play it in handheld mode. Basically like almost like a Wii U type deal.

Uh, you play it and then it casts to the, uh, dock and you can play it on your TV without having to get up and put it into the actual dock.
