He's not jostling with anyone.
Yeah, I would need to say it again.
Stuart Finlay almost stumbled back as if he was claiming that he was...
yeah exactly the ball comes down drops onto his head yeah and listen we said that set pieces is going to play a huge factor given the two teams that we're watching and the two biggest chances so far have came from that wide free kick for Hart for Kate Calcutt and then that corner there for Chukwani so the two biggest chances of the game so far you know you feel as if that
I've said that a couple of times, but whoever's going to get that first goal, it's going to be a big one in the game.
It's still pretty cagey though, Gordon, isn't it?
20 minutes, again, balls a bit of a hot potato at this moment in time.
well it always depends on the team you're playing against now I said last week I thought it was madness to do it against Motherwell given that Motherwell are a team that try to overload the middle of the pitch they try to play through the thirds Hearts aren't that type of team so I do think if they played two up front in this game I thought it would make a bit more sense given that they're going to play direct Hearts are going to play pretty similar and you're almost just matched up and like for like because it was the they played two up in the 4-2 game that's what I was going to say that was like the blueprint for it was it not
A huge goal it is
set piece it's a long throw and we talked about Chukwani getting caught under the ball it's Stuart Finlay that gets caught under the ball for hearts and it diverts it to Dujon Sterling he does well to keep it low but I think it deflects off Michael Steinwinder I think it is and it leaves Alexander Swallow with no chance it ricochets off the floor loops over him into the far corner we felt as if the big goal the first goal was going to be important we certainly didn't think it was going to come for Dujon Sterling he's not somebody that scores a lot of goals
It's almost been surprising that Stuart Finlay gets caught under the ball.
I'm really surprised that Stuart Finlay gets caught under the ball there.
There's no one behind him.
Again, just completely missed times he's jumped.
And for someone that's been so reliable for Hearts this season, I think he'd be really disappointed with how that's played out.
yeah listen I don't know if you guys agree or disagree I don't think any has thought that one team was going to run away with this game you felt as if it was going to be a moments game you felt as if it was going to be the fine margins that were going to determine it and when the big chances come you have to be clinical and either side you've got to say have had a good chance each leading into that and Rangers take the next big one that comes their way that obviously comes with an element of fortune with the deflection but they're making hearts defend and that's what happened here here is the positive for Derek McInnes
No but in this occasion Craig Alcott deals with it a lot better than the throw that came over on the other side but I've said for a long period of time Gordon I just feel like that's what Rangers are and sometimes I feel like they get caught in between trying to be a possession based team when they're not so I've actually no issue with that I've no issue with this at all because I actually think if you are this side then set up to be this side commit the players forward have bodies in areas where you can win the second ball when you do go direct instead of being open and expansive as if you're going to play then don't so I think at this moment in time
I think that Rangers are probably picking up more of the second balls than Hearts that being said I think Hearts on a couple of occasions they've got a bit of joys when Rangers have actually put shorter passes and they've jumped on it and they've stolen certain areas of the pitch but yeah I mean in terms of completed passes This is absolutely frantic honestly so Hearts right back had a chance to just play a pass inside to midfield he just boots it up the pitch and that means that Jiga slices it and he goes out for a throw in this is frantic Roger Hanna
Yeah, absolutely.
And listen, obviously I've played at Hearts, I've played in Tyncastle on big nights and they're a club with huge expectations, even if at that moment in time they don't have a team that can value it.
