Like I know a lot of things.
I read a lot of self-help books.
It takes a long time for those messages to necessarily sink in.
But I think with the Vipassana, it's a physical experience.
And I have been so lucky in that I kind of feel like I'm living it like that, you know.
You know, if I might go in to get my scan results sometimes and they might be some lately it's stable.
They say it's stable and that's what I want.
You don't want cancer to go anywhere else.
But someday I'll walk in.
They might not be saying that.
I'm not expecting that I'm going to have a major meltdown if or when that day happens, because I'm really training myself in that way.
And I'm very much feeling like, oh, no, that would be something else.
And the thing that I feel about it all is being curious.
I feel like I'm curious about what the consultant will say to me rather than dreading.
Like that's a word you could use.
Like I'm dreading going in to get my results.
Like I think being curious about it because he's going to say something and whatever he says, I have no control over.
But if I'm curious about it and I greet it that way, then he tells me the thing and I go, OK, so what do you think we should do then or whatever?
