With the Taliban there, there was a sort of peace in that region as well, right?
So there's a sense of people putting up with a lot of this stuff because the alternative was worse.
So, I mean, I just think it's important to say that as well.
And I found that very instructional and kind of educational being told about that by someone who actually has relatives in that country.
So we can sit here from afar going, oh, but it's and it is terrible.
Right.
And we know it's human rights abuses and everything.
But I suppose if you're there and there's relative peace.
Yeah.
There's something.
Chaos and anarchy is the alternative.
Exactly.
So I just thought that was important to say.
But also there's also a lot of Afghan women doing stuff on the Internet because there's still an ability to do that who are on Instagram, who are
creating industries or like I know one young woman who's designing clothes and selling them on the Internet.
So there's ways that people are trying to get around the Taliban as well.
So thank goodness for technology in that way, which is another aspect.
Yeah, and I'm glad that woman wrote about it in The Guardian so that she can kind of expose it and show that we shouldn't be doing it.
We shouldn't be treating them like legitimate people.
people because they're not.
