I think, you know, they're all looking for one pitch and they're getting the opposite.
Webb has been very good today.
It'll be important, but at the end of the day, David, he had a couple things going on.
The league saw right away that he could hit.
Even in spring training with all the scouts there, they recognized his ability to hit.
So then they started out throwing him soft in a lot of off-speed stuff, and he hit.
Then that changed to throwing him pitches out of the zone up, basically hard stuff up, and seeing if he would chase it.
And he did.
And he kept chasing it.
And he had a hard time laying off the high fastball.
So then they kept going higher.
And instead of it being a fly ball, now it's a punch out because now he's trying to catch up to that.
In the process of trying to catch up with the high fastball, he's had some breakdowns in his swing.
Now all of a sudden that leg kick isn't the leg going up and then setting down and then attacking the ball.
It's the leg goes up, his body's going forward.
So that means his head is going forward.
Then the leg comes down and now you're...
You're compounding the issue and it's making it even harder to recognize the fastball that's in the zone up in the one that's out of the zone because your head's moving.
So now he's swinging at the ball shoulder high and there's not a hitter in the league that can hit the ball at that level, you know, being out of the strike zone.
Not really sure how to answer that.
