That's totally true.
But the people setting the prices here are the European Ryder Cup establishment.
So it has been hosted in their manner.
That's a fact.
But this is not an Irish golfing tournament.
We don't have any say over the way that it's being priced.
The pricing is twice as expensive as Rome, which was the last European stage in all of it.
But it's because of how successful BetPage was.
You have a European team that's going for three in a row.
It will be effectively the same team.
There will almost certainly be two Irish golfers in it.
So with BetPage, I know people said $750, but the fact is that the public sale of tickets for BetPage were dynamically priced.
So $750 was the base.
I know people who got through to the room where you could finally purchase tickets and they were being sold for $1,100.
So you have to take that into account.
The JP McManus thing is really interesting as well, because like he is a non-domiciled billionaire.
It is a vanity project for JP McManus.
It has long been this.
But there's a strange dynamic at play in that the Irish taxpayer is on the hook for all the ancillary costs around the Ryder Cup, which is to say like Garda overtime and, you know, presenting the area around it.
JP McManus is looking after the cost of everything inside the venue in a dare manner itself.
