I think focusing first off on catching it and you're going to be in a stronger position in under the ball and then your instincts can take over and you go, I think he's going to get up over the top of me, I'm going to go for a slap back.
But if your first thought is slap back, it's very hard to catch it.
You're not going to be in the right position for it.
As regards to the attack, I think first off, we've spoken about the need for speed.
After the New Zealand game in the World Cup, New Zealand made line breaks and finished them that I didn't think we had the speed to finish with.
And we also didn't have the speed to scramble to stop them.
From 20 minutes on in that game, so Tommy O'Brien comes on for James Lowe, I think that's the fastest back line we've ever had.
and what does that give you obviously you look at the obvious ones with Balakun up against Arendelle and he goes I'm going to take you on the outside here doesn't completely skin him but he does enough to get in behind him offload to Tommy O'Brien more speed defensively
england busts us down the right in the second half tommy o'brien sprints back balacoon makes up a a crazy amount of ground but it's also when you when you make a line break it's your the ability of your players to get up and support and be in those positions um when you turn the ball over and you kick it through the ability to get up and make that first tackle not give the opposition the opportunity to move the point of contact the pass two passes um
And it just gives us like opportunities in attack.
And then if you go into the nuts and bolts of it, I think a huge amount of credit has to go to Crowley at the weekend because he was extremely efficient in how he attacked.
He knew when to take the ball to the line.
He knew, look, I don't need to take anything out of this.
The space is on the outside.
I'm just going to get this through my hands.
But the key with that is also you need to sit down the interior defense.
So he was getting the forward set quickly, getting them in the right position.
He was in a position that was high percentage that the pass was going accurate to him that he could then shift it on.
And it was telling, like he gave Jeremy Lachman a good telling, a good dressing down.
That's what a good 10 is doing.
