I guess it relates back to that thing about seeing your mother as a human.
Even though I am, you know, 57 years old and I fully understand that my parents are humans and all that, there is still a part of you that they're still your parents.
All of that is ripped away when you're having to look after somebody that closely and intimately.
And when they're, you know, regressing in a, you know, through the dimension that to a sort of simpler state and all of that.
There's a closeness there.
Because everything is stripped back.
Well, there's an intimacy, isn't there?
There absolutely is.
And even though it's kind of gross, it is still intimate.
It is intimate, yes.
And I'll tell you what, more than even the kind of the obvious stuff that people worry about having to do for their parents, the most intimate thing I used to do for my dad on occasion was shave him.
I bet you're the same.
In real life, there's no bullshit Hollywood moment where your dad teaches you how to shave.
That doesn't happen.
So it's not connected to that.
