And we were never singers or rappers, but we enjoyed it.

And that was the option, was either go back to college or try your hand at this.

And, you know, you're doing it with your best mate and you're travelling the world.

What's not to love?

On the show, not just... LAUGHTER

We had an acting agent back in Newcastle when we were young kids.

But then we got management when we started Saturday mornings on ITV, a show called SMTV Live in the UK.

And that's when we got proper managers.

you know what I mean?

He'd love that.

Managers who look after people doing that kind of thing.

Yeah, pretty much.

At one point, there was quite a lot being made in Newcastle.

You had Spender with Jimmy Neal, that was being made.

You had Catherine Cookson's, which were quite big at the time.

I was in one of the Catherine Cooks.

Tell them who you were, it's a very memorable character.

So once you get written out about a grub, there wasn't a lot of other options for a young actor in the North East.

And when it came back as well, even that, they were great series.
