And then because of COVID, I lost my radio contract, which if you know anything about radio at the time, they, you know, before COVID, they were making millions of dollars in radio.
And now things like podcasting and
And just, you know, the pandemic itself kind of took away.
And so people like myself lost contracts and just couldn't get their footing back.
Plus other life things happening.
So it just got me back to saying, hey, I'm going to go to my roots.
I'm going to go back to the stage and realize that there was a new frontier.
So to speak, you know, you got the social media cats and then you got people like Bill himself who was doing theaters coming back to the clubs and doing very well.
So it was very hard to get books.
So I called him and he called me back and was like, hey, man.
First, he was like, you need to borrow some money.
I said, I do need some money.
But if you can, if you're nice enough to let me come out on the road and I could show some of these clubs that I still have what it takes to be a headliner.
So that's kind of where it came about.
And it actually lasted a little longer.
I was on the road with it for two and a half years because things have changed even in booking comedy clubs.
So that's how you got to meet me.
But I honestly feel that was one of the greatest things because even as we talk later on in our series, you know, that was actually my last night working with Bill.
And it was like, just like you was kind of like on the fence about coming out.
I was absolutely on the fence about coming to do that show.
