If you want to make it to the World Series, you're going to have to go to the Atlanta Braves.
Yeah, we know the Dodgers are there somewhere.
Even though the Dodgers are having some issues out there in L.A., they can't really swing the bat right now.
But that's another story for another day.
But for the Braves or for the Cubs, you know that the Braves are going to be one of those teams like L.A.
that if you want to make the World Series, you have to prove that you're better than that team.
And so for me, I've seen enough from the Cubs to say, OK, they got themselves in a really good position in the National League where they've proven they're one of the premier teams.
And now as we go here, as we get to Memorial Day and beyond, now you can really start to assess yourself and say, OK, this is who we are.
We know we're good at this, this and this.
We need to figure out this and this and maybe make an acquisition here and here.
So as we go into the next six to seven weeks, that's what I believe the Cubs are trying to figure out.
Yeah, always expensive.
Very expensive.
That's why when you are one of these teams that can develop your own starting pitching, you save yourself a lot of headache.
I think the other thing, especially with this season, that's been kind of wonky and weird.
is that the Cubs aren't the only team that is looking for a premier starter or going to be looking for a premier starter at the deadline.
And then you have the question of who would you acquire, right?
You hear Freddy Peralta's name come up.
You hear Sandy Alcantara's name come up.
Maybe Robbie Ray from the San Francisco Giants.
