But as people pointed out in various places online, that can actually inadvertently... hurt artists in certain ways so I'm kind of a mixed opinion now so you're an artist you get contacted by a company to do the cover for their new book And you spend months doing this amazing cover. No AI at all. You paint it.

And then suddenly, because the company has put a piece of AI-generated content art inside the book, a bit of AI generated text inside the book, suddenly your art, you are no longer eligible for an award for something that you didn't do. You had no control over.

Yeah. So that could happen. And also there's a lot of situations that we've seen even like Wizards of the Coast get caught out by this, where they find out after the event, that AI art was used and that an artist slipped in some AI. So what happens then? What happens then?

uh yeah well yeah i mean the um the pushback on that then is if an artist does that and then makes your inner you know your product is now ineligible for awards you've got even more to complain because it's not just a case of having to replace the art and all this sort of stuff or deal with the aftermath of that it's also but you've now made our product ineligible for awards by doing that yeah
