For Chris Knobloch to talk about how guys are fighting to play with him when you consider the circumstances by which he arrived here and now he's thriving.

It's huge, huge for this team to have that guy under contract the way they do and for him to be doing what he's doing.

Oh, it's not even close.

It's not even in the hemisphere.

I mean, like Jack Rostovic's playing regular season hockey out there.

Like, that's the difference.

I mean, this is the playoffs, and players need to elevate.

And the Oilers have some players who I think, for whatever reason, have had a hard time kind of elevating to playoff caliber and playoff intensity hockey.

And it shows.

It smells on you at this time of year if you can't get there.

So all that Rostovic needs to do is to look at the silly Pod Coles and the way he's going about his business.

I would say the exact same thing for Trent Frederick.

On the outside, look it in again, and critical games can't get in the lineup.

That's because the engine isn't working the same way Pod Coles does.

You may or may not have the hands or the shot or whatever, but at bare minimum, you need to have the engine going.

And Frederick, it's regular season hockey for Trent Frederick.

Uh, so they've got some guys that have had a hard time finding the level.

And I put Ross Levick on that list.

And when you see Pod Coles and do what he's doing, Kapanen has been, and what an up and down year for Kapanen, Bob.
