The Senate is set to vote this week on a package of bills to fund the government through the end of September.
The minibus will include the funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, and Democrats have made clear they want reforms and restrictions on ICE that could make getting the 60 votes needed to break the Senate filibuster a challenge.

In a vote that was unanimous, the House sent to the Senate a repeal of a provision that allows some Republican senators to sue the federal government for up to $500,000.

The House Oversight Committee advancing a contempt resolution for former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with several Democrats voting in favor.
Republican Committee Chair James Comer brought the resolutions forward after the former president and first lady did not show up for a deposition as part of the committee's investigation into late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Top Oversight Democrat Robert Garcia voted no, but wants the Clintons to negotiate while accusing Republicans of playing politics.
The full House will now vote on the resolution.
