So the underlying stuff on Robbie Ray isn't quite as good as the 304 ERA, but still gets a decent amount of strikeouts.
The walks have ticked back up a little bit from where he was in Toronto, but not nearly as iffy as they were earlier in his career.
So I think he's probably more, if you look at some of the underlying stuff, more of a back-end rotation guy at this point than a guy who has a flat three ERA, like the baseball card numbers would say.
But yeah.
That's what they're going to be shopping in if they got to chase bad money with good with the way things are right now.
Frankie Kitcher said he dislikes Jeff Hoffman getting credited with the win last night, allowed two runs in an inning, and Cecil had one in seven.
Yeah, that's baseball, baby.
Ideally, we could all take a vote on which pitcher is most deserving of the win.
At least it wasn't a pure vulture where the guy blows the save and then gets the win when the team ends up pulling it out.
That is...
For fantasy purposes, that'll drive you nuts if you play in a league that has saves counted.
But, yeah, life's not always fair.
This is, again, this is why we have moved away from evaluating pitchers exclusively by their win-loss record because things like that can happen.

Should Ernie Clement bat higher in the order?
He's been sliding a bit over the past little while, but I like his contact when he's right.
I think that Jay's answer to this would be that the on-base profile isn't quite as high as they're looking for from a leadoff guy, even though Ernie is a,
you know, a high contact guy and obviously strings together, lots of hits hitting two 94 right now, even with that slide over the last little bit, but a three 13 on base.
I think they want a little bit more traffic than that.
