He's going to be physical, like to be able to play for your hometown team and the passion you've seen in the city growing up and now to be able to be running around trying to get it on the forecheck, be a pain in the butt after the whistle being guys face.

I love that.

And for Connor Murphy, the fact is that this guy's played a long time.

He's beloved by his teammates in Chicago all those years.

He's never played a playoff game in front of fans.

The bubble doesn't count.

It's time for him to get to experience what, you know, so few people ever to experience in Edmonton, a playoff crowd, the anthem, the flags going around the city, basically ready to burn down because of the excitement.

And that is a guy who is a playoff style defenseman.

You need him to limit turnovers.

You need him to be an absolute dog to play against in front of the net.

He's not going to let anyone near his goalie.

He's going to be nasty.

He's going to be physical.

And if he can have a solid first pass and when there's nothing there, off the glass and out, that's all they need.
