AI company Anthropic says it will sue the Trump administration after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth designated it as a supply chain risk to national security.
The designation means all military contractors will be barred from working with the company.
It comes after the Pentagon demanded unrestricted military use of the AI technology.
But the AI lab insisted that its products not be used for mass surveillance or to create autonomous weapon systems.
In a statement, Anthropic said, quote, no amount of intimidation or punishment from the Department of War will change our position.
