It's a really...
disappointing result it's going to cost them money it's going to cost them status it's cost them loads of momentum it's going to cost international spots it's such a bad result it's such a badly managed pool stage not getting a bonus point in Bath they nearly didn't get a bonus point in at home to a really weak Gloucester team in Porky Queve which was a really poor performance they rallied last week and then just couldn't get the job done on Saturday and
probably a reflection of where they truly are in terms of budget and you know their squads and all that sort of stuff because you look at the cast team and they've a lot of really good players and maybe cast should be beating Munster based on what they're spending and who they have on board but that's not what we've come to expect we've always been able to so we've always expected Munster to be able to punch above their weight so
Yeah, it's a really gloomy and I say Munster fans are waking up this morning in a bit of despair about the kind of prospects.
Yeah.
But I think Munster are a good team.
There is a good team there.
There are good players there.
There is a really good out half.
But I think he's almost symptomatic of the entire organisation in that all of the good things that he's doing are being undermined by small errors of execution and decision making that are letting the 90% of the stuff that's very positive down.
And
you know you look at the French teams that played against the Irish teams this weekend who you know Bayonne had nothing to play for and you look at Nolan Le Garic for La Rochelle last week they're nailing every conversion pretty much I know Bayonne missed a pivotal kick at a pivotal time I'm not saying they're perfect
But there seems to be a higher standard, say, at the line-out, at set-piece, of execution.
And they're not letting two points... And this has been an issue with Jack Rowdy going back to last year's Champions Cup and the year before.
They're not turning five into seven.
And if you're in a dogfight like they were against Kast, look, no one expects 100%.
But if you want to be a world-class out-half, an Ireland out-half, Munster's talisman, you've got to make more of them than he's making, especially whatever about the one that hit the post when he got timed out.
Mistakes happen, but as it went on, you could see something had gone off in his mind and he just wasn't executing those kicks well.
Not to lay it all on him, some of the first-up tackling, you're putting your bodies on the line across the board.
And then Gavin Coombs misses the tackle for that try on Cara Valevu, who was exceptional on the day.
