I have literally in the past two years have watched maybe 19 seasons of Young, I don't know how much Young Sheldon I've watched and now we've gone back to season one, episode one of Young Sheldon.
They've abandoned it and they've made me start again on Young Sheldon.
Having said that, I will say now that I've gone, I don't know if you remember when I talked about Young Sheldon previously, I'd never watched The Big Bang Theory, which is the show that Young Sheldon is the prequel to.
And so I don't think this is a spoiler alert for anyone because, you know, the Big Bang Theory has been around for ages.
But in the Big Bang Theory, you know, because Sheldon's an adult, that his father died when he was a child.
But I hadn't watched a Big Bang Theory.
So when George died in Young Sheldon, I was absolutely polaxed.
And I was like, what?
This is kind of like a light...
situation comedy like what the hell just happened here um and then i think i would put it in the chat 10 group and people oh yeah everyone everyone knew that was going to have to come at some point because it was known in big bang theory but funnily enough now that i'm watching young sheldon from the start it actually is a bit more than just a light situation comedy there's some you can see the kind of there's more depth to the characters that becomes
apparent as it goes on and and you know their stories are fleshed out that that there's a little bit of marital tension between the mum and the dad and um some sibling issues and it's it's actually kind of a better show i think than i gave it credit for not saying i want to watch every goddamn episode of it for a second time in the space of two years but it's it's a good show
I think that's what I, that was what I originally thought it was going to be as well.
I thought it was going to be something, I don't know why, maybe Sheldon sounds like Sherlock or something.
I thought it was going to be something.
Yeah, I didn't realise.
He's basically a, Sheldon is a childhood friend
prodigy who's a genius and so he's like 11 but he's already in high school kind of thing he's at university by the age of 12 or whatever so and it's just about the impact that has on a family of having a kid like that in the family it's a comedy but it's um it's got it's got a bit more depth to it actually than than that and my kids just yeah absolutely um love it
