One thing I do want to point out here is that you can book cruises through Amex Travel, but it is not a great redemption rate. Only 0.7 cents per point. Not amazing. If you were trying to use points to cover a cruise purchase, I would probably opt for some type of card that offers cash back at a rate of 1 cent per point.
