Yeah, I mean, it was actually quite, yeah, it's kind of a strange thing because people here, they feel like when there's an escalation and attacks, maybe that does mean a ceasefire is coming.
But obviously the ceasefire then didn't come straight after that.
That was 8th of April and the ceasefire came into force yesterday.
So there was still a long period where
Well, yeah.
And so, I mean, obviously the kind of ceasefire agreement that has happened is between Lebanon and Israel, but Lebanon doesn't necessarily represent Hezbollah.
So Hezbollah at the moment has said it will abide by the agreement, but that it also says if Israeli occupation continues in the south, that it has a right to resist that.
So, yeah, there's a lot of unknowns here as to whether they would take action or, of course, what people are also very afraid of is that it could continue again to be what they call a one-sided ceasefire where Israel continues to do attacks.
And yeah, it's important to also understand that large portions of South Lebanon are still being effectively occupied.
People can't return there.
I mean, I've reported from those areas, they're totally inaccessible now.
So the people who live there, they can't go back.
Yeah, I mean, again, there's so much that's lacking and it's, yeah, we'll have to see in terms of like, because there was this huge evacuation area, like a lot of NGOs that I spoke to, they also couldn't operate in that area for security reasons.
There was a lot of efforts happening by Lebanese people, you know, just coordinating themselves, helping each other, organizing aid donations and transporting things.
I'm sure that will continue.
But yeah, the scale is just absolutely massive.
And it's, yes, it's really hard to, you know, convey this is like elderly people, people with disabilities, you know, children, 1.2 million people being displaced, even if some of them can go home now, it's, you know, it's incomprehensible, the scale of that, and you know, people losing their jobs, of course, they separated children out of school.
separated from everything, all the normal supports they'd have.
So, yeah, it's just, I think everything is needed.
