I just jerked my thumb.
It's actually over there.
And then I was using tile boxes as my targets today because I had a lot of them, and all of them have a little circle at the top.
So I did a few of the build drills but putting rounds through the cutout.
And the first one I did was like, oh, neat, I should speed it up a little bit.
And then the second one, first round went through, and the other ones just barely touched cardboard along the bottom.
I was like, oh, shit, we'll fuck that one up.
um line breaks count in your favor yeah that's what i was asking is if he's changing my rules for himself well my my rules are unforgiving for me usually so it didn't count so then i slowed down did it a few more times um then just did a just did some run and gun drills starting from a target that was i mean the farthest target was i think about 70 yards from the start line and then variations of maybe put two rounds on that target then run up to one target do a
So I like to do drills where you're incorporating multiple things.
Being able to shoot at 70 yards, even though 70 yards isn't that far away, it's a good starter.
I also like to do... That's why I like build drills, not because of any kind of USPSA stuff, because I think they use those in qualifiers for USPSA, don't they?
Or am I thinking of a different...
One of the competitions uses bill drills as one of their classifying do.
But Mozambique drills or the bill drill...
In a drill, even if it involves doing some running, I like to incorporate that because that get the gun up from a low ready, or if you've been sprinting up to the target, getting it from however the hell you're holding it when you're sprinting and getting those first rounds off.
I think that's an important motor function to have.
And then doing movement and fire.
So like in this case, it wasn't a huge one, but doing just a walk and then the lateral walk across targets and putting four rounds on each.
That's something that you can't really practice at a static range, but it is something in going shooting with other groups of guys.
I've noticed a lot of people are really bad at is having, it's hard to get that cadence because you're trying to walk smoothly, but you can, it's really noticeable with the red dot.
