Your side rail is the best way to mount an optic to your AK, hands down.

So I have a Texas Weapon System dogleg rail.

I had it on there, but because I kept... I'm so used to having the 101 behind me.

But because I like to switch this rifle back and forth between having the laminate furniture on it sometimes and the ribbed top cover for her pleasure, I ended up going back to a side rail mount on it just because I could switch the gun up if I wanted to.

The Texas weapon system, you install it, you shouldn't be fucking with it after that.

I do need to go back and retest the accuracy on that.

But those have been around for a long time.

A lot of the mixed reviews that I have seen though, come from guys not installing them properly.
