so if you wanted to get kind of freaking metro on it you can swap in the wood on top which i might swap the wood back in at some point right now i've got uh gideon optics uh granite sitting on top of it i hate having optics above the gas tube not because i think it'll overheat but because i think it looks ugly as fuck so there's a separate uh rail optic mount coming for the rear side which is hopefully doesn't end up in fresno too

but i like it it's cool i need to go shoot it does now it's gonna get it gonna get hot as fuck on that top end i can tell you that much the bottom has a the rear the lower hand guard has a good heat shield in it but the top's gonna get hot i'd be interested to see how well that optic does with all that heat see how hot you can get it i mean i'll do some magnums on it i'll get it pretty hot while it's still uh loaded up there i do need to take it off and loctite the piss out of it though
