when Jalen has the freedom to run, when Shingun doesn't slow him down. Ime pushed back very hard on that and just vehemently disagreed and basically said that the combination of having an attacking scorer like Jalen as an option at times, Shingun is one of the best low post scorers in the game, that the optionality he likes. He likes the balance.
He kind of flexed on the fact that they have seven players averaging double figures right now. I think it's 11 plus. They don't have one player averaging more than 20 points a game. Jalen is right below the 20 point mark. But you watch that game against the Warriors and you see the problem with that. Right. Like who's the guy?

No question. And I think that's going to have to get answered over time. It's funny, the other day, just a quick side story, Mike Brown of the Kings was highlighting the fact that Houston and Orlando are among the worst shooting teams in the league, yet they're winning a whole bunch of ballgames.

Mike was basically kind of trying to make the argument that with his team, that their poor shooting is not the problem, that their poor defense is the problem. So, you know, a little bit of like,

the the grass is always greener but your point is well taken zina i think that jalen specifically feels to me like the guy who's in over the course of the next i think the rest of the season and we can get into this i do not anticipate for now at least, the Rockets making a major move that would cost them Shingun or Green. I don't. I think they want to see this through the season.

But Jalen is the one who my understanding is when he did his three-year extension, you know, Shingun did five years.

that that green wanted a shorter deal that basically and this is a good way to think you believe in yourself the idea was that if if i become michael jordan so to speak then you know i can get paid in a couple years uh and the rockets were fine with that but he's gonna have to show that he can be that guy because as recently as last year you know we reported on this pretty pretty uh heavily as recently as last season

you know, they were comfortable talking about Jalen in trades and star hunting. And I mean, names like Devin Booker, if he broke freeze, Ian Williamson, you know, they have been looking for seemingly more reliable offensive options.
