Now if you've looked for a true crime documentary to watch on any number of streaming services over the past couple of years, you've probably encountered the Murdoch cases.

Now this week, the story got a new chapter that nobody saw coming.

The South Carolina Supreme Court overturned Alex Murdoch's double murder convictions and life sentence and has ordered a new trial into the killing of his wife and son.
