And that's what I did.
And so it was a horrible night.
You were also writing lists in your head.
I don't know where I'd got this idea from.
Maybe it was maybe my psychologist had suggested this.
I honestly can't remember.
But I thought I've got to put down all of the reasons why I am worrying about nothing.
This is ridiculous.
And so I would write lists why he's not lying to me.
And at that point, I think the worst that I imagined was perhaps he's not into me.
Perhaps he just really doesn't like me, which was a pretty devastating thought.
Or perhaps he's with another woman.
And so I'd write these lists why he's not lying to me.
And now I read them back.
It's because he said he was imagining me with grey hair in a farmhouse kitchen.
Because he said.
And it was all about things he said.
It wasn't the things he did.
And that, now in hindsight, should have been a bit of a warning sign to me.
