I never saw that land with the rustic shack on it because he sold it, he told me.

He said, I really have decided I want to get into farming on a much bigger scale.

I want to do this, this and this.

And the plans were glorious and glamorous and I was fascinated by them.

So he sold his little place and told me that he was interested in making offers on a very large, very impressive property south of Sydney again.

And this property was, the extent of it was such that it was listed on the Sotheby's website.

It was not the sort of place that you wander in on a Saturday morning and do a bit of tyre kicking.

You go there by appointment only.

It was fundamentally a mansion in the French provincial, French, I guess, French provincial style.

And it had orchards and a vegetable parterre, which is like one of those circular, and I so love growing vegetables.

And I was like, oh, my God.

This is heaven.

But did you get to see it or did he just tell you about it?

No, he did.

He told me about it for a long time and then eventually he took me there.

And by that stage, I had got so used to there being cancellations that I thought he's not going to show me this, that there's something going on.

By that stage, I had actually started to think perhaps he's a fantasist.

Maybe that's what's going on.

And I didn't even really know then what a fantasist was.

And it really hadn't entered my, I thought I was a fairly well-read and well-rounded person, but hadn't really entered my lexicon.
