You had to take part in something called Alcohol Awareness Day.

What did that involve?

It's not something I think would fly with HR departments now.

Oh, my gosh.

So you made it through this day.

I imagine woke up the next day feeling pretty horrible.

Absolutely.

But then what happened a few days later?

From viewing that footage of you after being forced to drink all of this alcohol.

Exactly.

And it succeeded?

I mean, you succeeded in that?

I did.

Given that the police force was something you kind of fell into after seeing your brother in the job, were you almost surprised by your determination to stick it out in that kind of environment?

What kind of bonds did you form with the other recruits over that period of your training?

Where was your first posting as a police officer?

That's great for Croydon, but maybe not so interesting for a new police officer.

Well, you then had a very different experience in a stint with the vice squad where you were assigned to undercover work.

What did that involve?

Well, I guess as you were saying, there weren't many female police officers at that time.
