I said, I'm so sorry.
I said, I've clearly failed here and I don't know why.
So I had a bit of chalk left and I said, I'll give you the chalk now and I'm going to sit quietly to the side and tell me everything I've done that makes you so angry that you want me dead.
And they did for three hours, they did.
And the core of it was, Aaron, you came into our place and it was your vision and your ideas and your goals.

And I learned the most powerful lesson of my life that day, which is the only thing more powerful than ownership is authorship.
Like I came into their place, I came up with the plan and then I was angry when they wouldn't do it.
So I let them take over.
Caitlin did the same thing with the girls that night.
They set a bigger vision for the school than we'd ever set, bigger goals than we'd ever set.
They set tougher rules on themselves than we'd ever set and now it was on their terms and they took over the school.
It was to back local change.
Very simple.
Back the people with the lived experience of the problem they're trying to solve.
I went to Cambridge University, I wrote a thesis on that to give it the kind of credibility at an academic level.
And then we came back to Australia with a group of friends.
We launched a non-profit that would back local entrepreneurs.
